So much for a respite from personal attacks in the presidential race.
Former Senator Lincoln Chafee, the Rhode Island Republican who is backing Democrat Barack Obama, today stood by his remarks calling Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin a "cocky wacko."
Chafee told an audience Tuesday at the New America Foundation in Washington that Palin has revived a "lackluster McCain candidacy," calling her surprise selection "this firestorm, this tornado, into the whole presidential election."
Responding to an audience member's question, he said her speech at the Republican National Convention had also energized Obama supporters. "People were coming into my office, phone calls were flooding in, e-mails were coming in, 'I just sent money to Obama, I couldn't sleep last night' -- from the left. To see this cocky wacko up there," Chafee said, according to the Associated Press account.

President Bush Gave more support to Chafee than any other Republican running in 2006. He diverted support to many other candidates to get this guy reelected.
As close as I can come to putting this in words that Mr. Chaffee might understand: His statement is proof that Lincoln Chaffee is a feminine hygiene product.
I think you will reconsider that statement if you carefully consider the first word of that pair (of words).

I had hope that we had heard the last from this sorry POS. One of W’s failings was his support for this POS in the 2006 Republican primary against a far better opponent. Not only was Chafee a closet Rat, but the SOB has endorsed ZeroBama. He is in the same category as John sKerry—a traitor.

When will this Man stop embarrassing an entire State! Seriously, we used to be neighbors, and I watched him spend several minutes feeling tomatoes and scratching his head. He just kept looking at the grocery list his Wife obviously gave him, with a screwed up look on his face. He finally gave up, without making a decision. Should we expect anything intelligent to come out of his bobble headed mouth?
The use of the term “Cocky Wacko” shows a strong command for the English language. There may yet be a reason why he is a “former”; although I am surprised he was “ever”.

Lincoln Chafee is a joke. It’s just too bad that he was elected in 2000. The Democrat candidate that year (a pro-life moderate-liberal) was the better choice.
