I’m about the ONLY Gold/Silver-bot here who can back up her claims with cold, hard cash.

Come again?

I, for one, am tired of pulling this wagon overloaded with liberal losers who contribute NOTHING, to quote their favorite slogan, “for the greater good.” ;)

You mean, like the Katrinians still sponging in Milwaukee?

I’m going to be buying more metal in the future.

Just my 2 cents, but in the future you may not find much lower prices than you see today.

The only thing you left out is the lack of a sense of humor.

When two of the big 5 investment banks go on life support in less than a year’s time, it’s prudent to scratch one’s head and wonder how far this will go.

Do it! You won’t regret it. :)

And if things REALLY go to h-e-double hockey sticks, you, me and a few others will at least have a shiny coin to trade for a loaf of bread. ;)

But, let’s hedge our bets even further and learn to bake our OWN bread. :)

Some people think I’m this survivalist NUT, but really, we have lost SO many basic survival skills in just ONE generation, it isn’t funny anymore.

Sew on a button? Mend a sock? Butcher your own venison? Raise a laying hen? If you must work for pay outside the home, work as NEAR to your home as possible? Drive used cars? Have a rain barrel? (Oh. My. God. Your hair will be so shiny and pretty when rinsed with rainwater!) Tend a garden? Plant flowers to sell, or just for your own SOUL to enjoy?

I know that 100% self-sufficiency isn’t attainable in the heart of the city; heck, I’m not even there yet and I have the LUXURY (well, I planned for it, of course) of a farm! But at least plant a fruit tree in your tiny back yard; grow a tomato plant and some lettuce and herbs in a pot. Learn to make a meal from scratch. Eat seasonally. Waste nothing.

And if you can’t do that, at least live within your means, even if your “means” are living off of other peoples tax dollars!

Mock me if you will. You should be thanking me that I won’t be one Bag Lady on the dole that you’ll be supporting in the future. :)

I don’t own PAPER. I own the real deal.

Mock me if you will.

Not mocking you. Trying to be sure I understand your real numbers. Try again?

Just want to be clear, your $1 investment is now worth $4?

I’m a Mom. I’ll always feed a hungry child no matter WHAT stupid choices their parents make. ;)

The parents? They’re on their own.

Sorry! I’m used to taking abuse on this subject by Freepers that are ‘Oh, So Much Smarter Than Me,’ LOL!

Yes. I invested my inheritance from my Grandpa. It is now worth 33x that. In nine years.

And yes, gold & silver are slipping right now, but we go through this EVERY summer...and a lot depends upon how weak the dollar is at any given time. I have never lost a cent in all that time. Even if it goes into the tank, which would mean America is cookin’ and there’s a crown roast in every pot and a Caddy in every garage, I still will at least have my original investment.

So, in summary, what is bad for America (a weak dollar, inflation, et al) is good for MY bottom line.

It works that way with lots of commodities, but you most likely don’t want to buy pork bellies, cocoa or rice right now, LOL!

Your mileage may vary. And please, don’t jump in and jump out. This is a very long-term thing, and is not for the faint of heart.

In fact, I’m UP this week, but it’s been MANY weeks of being down and sticking it out.

My worst fear is that Obama wins the White House. If so, the economy will tank because he’ll be ‘The Stupidest President Ever,’ and I’ll be rich...but many others will suffer.

It’s that d@mn ‘Compassionate Conservatism’ thing that gets me in the end. ;)

Ditto!

And as my 'backup' CD's mature, they all are going into gold and/or silver coinage. Presently the only reasonable course of action.

Not to worry. Our imperious leader has comforting words:
(courtesy of CBS News)

"I think the system basically is sound, I truly do," President Bush said. "I understand there's a lot of nervousness. The economy is growing. Productivity is high. Trade's up. People are working - it's not as good as we'd like. And to the extent that we'll find weakness, we'll move."

The president defended his insistence that the U.S. economy was not in a recession, even though many economists believe it is.

He said the traditional definition of a recession - two quarters in a row of negative growth - had not been met.

"I'm not an economist, but I do believe we're growing," he said. "I'm an optimist. I believe there's a lot of positive things for the economy."

we are not even in a recession yet and they are talking about a Depression.

The Dems (and their toadies) are showing the world exactly who they are, when they vaunt bogus crapola like this - when things don't go their way - they have temper tantrums.

Obama says he'd "talk" with known terrorist nations. For how many years have Republicans been "equated" as being "terrorists" by Dem pundits and so-called "thinkers". So, here is McCain/Palin, so-called terrorists by the usual cabal of hysterics, and what's the response of Obama, Inc.? Instead of "talking"... lol... the Obama, Inc. go UGLY. Obama, Inc. continue to show me exactly how they'd deal with terrorists -- they'd call 'em names! WOwsa! They'd dig up dirt on actual terrorists and spread it across the cybersphere. They'd find people who'd know the terrorists and say bad things about them.

So much for "talking". lol.

Dittos, in re those matters "econ". The Economic Fruit Loops of the left are upset that their "guy" might not win, so what do they do? Lie about the economy.

So much for intelligent, reasoned "talk".

The village is so full of emotionally arrested so-called grown-ups, they NEED to have a leader. Ipso, Obama adoration.

Your gold investment has done pretty good the last few days. Good for you. I wish I bought it several years back when it was around $300.
