Sarah Palin's abrupt appearance on the national stage sparked an enormous array of questions, one of which is: Has she ever traveled abroad?
I asked her new spokeswoman, Maria Comella, who noted that Palin visited Germany and Kuwait in 2007 to visit Alaska National Guard troops.
Comella said she'd also visited one other country: Ireland.

She has also been to Mexico and Canada..and well she can see Russia from her state.
Palin had no time or desires to take exotic vacations overseas. How about we talk about Barry’s foreign travels?
And at least Sarah Palin didn’t go to a Muslim school in Thailand.
The difference between Iraq and Kuwait is the stroke of a British pen and the deeds of an American army in 1991. Back before WWII, an Iraqi king wanted to annex Kuwait. That ended when he was killed in a car wreck. Hussain wanted to annex it in 1990. That ended when he got his butt kicked in 1991. Let us say that Palin was in theatre.

She sounds like my middle class family travels: Mexico, Montreal, and that’s all I can afford.
She should strike back with this on the stump, framing it as “elite/sophistication” Europe vacation.
For an American citizen of her age to have never had a US passport is not unusual. My parents got their first passports when they were in their 40's. Prior to the aftermath of 9-11, it was possible for a US citizen to travel just about anywhere in the western hemisphere except Cuba without a passport (all the way from Halifax to Tierra del Fuego). In Europe prior to the EU, most Europeans needed a passport just to travel 200-300 miles.
The Governor went to Ireland? Now we are talking about an important visit. The nosey press can stand in line and kiss my pattuti.
BTW, her son will be doing some traveling in the near furture. The Palin family is on the mark when it comes to being the real deal. God Bless them.
look at what the media is trying to portray. Obama made several quick stops to several countries during his campaign, thus he has more experience about foreign countries than Palin
How many times has Obama been to Alaska?
Does Obama think it is the 49th, 50th or 57th state in the union?
In how many countries has or does Obama hold citizenship.

Still you do not announce you were in Iraq when you were not..the jet that was sold at a profit in the old eBay joke was sold at a loss after brokerage..(supposedly, I really don't care on the latter as it was sold, and was a joke but the jokes goe too far and tends to get messy..period!)
Hillary ducking bullets and running for cover should be a BIG warning to all candidates. The same old Republican spin PR machine who orchestrates how, what, when and where anything is said; if truths are stretched to the gossamer to make a counter punch, these high priced "make it happen guys in '08" will sure as we are sitting here, put a “monkey wrench” into their own very capable Palin machine for VP. Remember, Palin took down some powerful people; so the Democrats are not the only ones that would like to see the crash of Sarah Palin from the political shooting star she has been riding.
We know the dinosaur media is biased..but they still have a vast viewing audience and the other day I was shocked to find a business associate of mine could not tell commentary from news..He actually asked me to name the pundits of both. This is a problem in of itself. The same people think MSNBC has a big viewship!
I don't want to hear any more campaign announcements coming out that there was a recognized misspeak..Palin has to trust her own judgment on this and not be controlled by these "writers". Palin needs to address the nation in her own words and fire the same.
Advice: If it feels wrong or misleading, don't do or say it!
If any diallusionment starts to trickle into her campaign because of the "writing", I worry. The race is too close for such mistakes when there is a cross disection of every spoken word.
So this is a red flag to the Repub camp; and I hope Palin has the brass ones to stand up to these "pros" who think they know what Americans want, when they have been batting close to 0 for some time now. McCain choosing Palin saved their ....s!

CNN Saturday that Palin's time in Ireland on that trip had actually been a refueling stop.
So? The only time I've ever been to Panama was on a refueling stop. Also I've only been connecting to other flights in Chicago (ORD) and Miami (MIA).
Obama’s been to Germany but he cancelled on spending the planned hour or two visiting our wounded warriors. He went shopping in Berlin instead.
THAT tells me all that any real Americans need to know about the worth of his travels.....
