Wikipedia says:
"Quoting K. Srinivasa Rao,[85] "As for his place in the world of Mathematics, we quote Bruce C. Berndt: 'Paul Erdős has passed on to us G. H. Hardy's personal ratings of mathematicians. Suppose that we rate mathematicians on the basis of pure talent on a scale from 0 to 100, Hardy gave himself a score of 25, J.E. Littlewood 30, David Hilbert 80 and Ramanujan 100.'"
If someone ranked him above Hilbert, that's quite an accomplishment.
I still am a fan of von Neumann, however.
Cheers!
Gee I gotta quit peeking on DU.
Interestingly, I’m 52 and haven’t had anything vegetable in my mouth since November.
Meat and water only. And fatty meat, at that. Blood pressure’s way down, blood work is all outstanding...and I’ve lost over 35 pounds of fat and put on around 7 pounds of lean muscle.
I’ve done a LOT of reading and studying about this. Seems like veggies may not be all they’re cracked up to be.
You’ll have to pry those barbecued ribs from my cold, dead hands...
I like your taste in heroes, this would be a fun party!
It's my anniversary? Dang, I forgot to get myself a gift or anything; must have been too much beer or wine or...)
“She is a nutcase that is supporting Obama. She said to me that Sarah Palin is a nazi.”
well..consider also - how many of these vegans like to toke on those funny looking cigarettes?
The combined damage to the brain with the added cannabis-induced-paranoia, and the dull liberal brain is ripe for a vast number of conspiracy theories.
Just imagine how much smarter they could have been had they eaten meat :)
Now I understand.
I agree. These news articles are so funny. Why isn’t the headline Fat people loose brain cells or Drinking causes brain loss?
So to avoid B12 Deficiency I should Get Heart Disease and Cancer, no thanks.
If you do some research, it is actually very hard to be b12 deficient even as a vegetarian.
A quick look at cereal in my kitchen shows 1 serving has 45% of our daily needs. B12 is stored in the body for years, so it is very hard to be deficient unless you are eating very very narrow food choices.
I removed meat, oil and dairy from my diet and my standing heart rate went from 78 to 44. Much easier for your heart to pump blood when there is not sludge floating in your veins ;)
No meds, no asthma, no heart problems, no obesity, all with simple change in diet. Our bodies heal themselves if given a chance.
More info on b12 is here if interested: http://www.drmcdougall.com/misc/2007nl/nov/b12.htm
We veggie FReepers need to form our own Ping list ! :)
Lol. Now that, didn't occur to me.
Mom Ohhhs me an Oppologee. I tode her vejatabos wer not good 4 mi brane.
Not even salad?
ROTGLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As beautiful as numbers are and as much as I appreciate them, life outside the comforts of mathematical contemplation gets pretty hairy and requires a more integrated brain.
Einstein may have been “brilliant”, but he was also a socialist that peed his pants on occasion.
“Mom Ohhhs me an Oppologee. I tode her vejatabos wer not good 4 mi brane.”
LOL! Me, I just tossed mine when she wasn’t looking!
I think I'd crop out Dean Martin. Anyway doesn't liquor count as a vegetable?
