I watched Sarah Palin's interview with Charles Gibson, and felt uneasiness stirring in my stomach. The feeling did not involve politics. Somehow it was personal. Gradually, memories churned to the surface...

I think the word "elitist" is in danger of being overused. However, I'm going to use it any. He's just another liberal elitist. :)

Roger, stick to reviewing movies.

Gun control. She opposes it. Gibson observed that a majority of Americans support a ban on semiautomatic assault weapons. She praised the tradition of gun ownership in Alaska, mentioning protection, hunting, and sport. With machine guns? Ebert is either a liar, willfully ignorant, or a moron. Choose at least one.

Suddenly everybody needing a headline pipes in on Palin. Lets see, in addition to the usual suspects we’ve now heard from the brilliant minds of:
Lindsey Lohan, Rosanne Barr, Matt Damon, Susan Sarandon, Pamela Anderson, Madonna, and now Roger Eberts.
Wow...The more they speak out the more I realize how right we are.
Keep it up, freaks.

A SEMI-AUTOMATIC ASSAULT WEAPON???? Anyone who would try to “assault” a position with a semi-automatic is a fool...
BTW, A machine gun is a fully automatic weapon....
Please Ebert...Try and gain a little knowledge of the topic you wish to write upon...You might sound a little less FOOLISH....

Awesome! He must have waited to say something until Lindsay Lohan viewed her opinions.
I am so relieved that I do not have to think. The Hollywood establishment does it all for me!
Has Oprah said that Gov. Palin makes her ill? That would clench it for me. I mean, the High Priestess has to say something before I can mimic what I really believe.

What’s a semi-automatic “assault” weapon? It would be pretty useless, whatever it is.
Media makes up these names to scare the dumb sheeple.
You’d want an “assault” weapon to be fully automatic to knock down a herd of terrorists running towards you, no?

Ebert likes movies with lots of gay kissing and between the sheet action. He almost had an orgasm reviewing that Brokeback mountain cowboy show.
To: Army Air Corps
I think Roger is having a hard time being honest with himself. Worrying that Governor Palin doesn't know the answers to Charles Gibsons questions is a pure smoke screen to cover what he and the Left truly despise. Sara Palin is a devout Christian and a conservative and that is exactly what causes Rogers problems with her.
Roger you way out of your depth when you write on politics.

Abortion rights? "I am pro-life but respect other peoples' opinions." Would she respect the opinions of others if choices were substituted for opinions? No one who says they respect other people's opinions respect all of their choices. That is simply a stupid question. Ebert thinks his audience is equally stupid. Thankfully, I'm not his audience.

By the way, what is it about entertainment critics (Roger, his former partner in crime Rich Roeper, and Frank Rich foremost in my mind) that makes them think people are just itching to read their opinions on politics?
