Earlier this month, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid made a personal appeal to Barack Obama: Help me grow the Democrats’ Senate majority by sharing some of the $77 million you’ve got in the bank.
Obama’s campaign said no.
Although Democratic insiders say a better deal could still come, the Obama campaign so far has agreed only to let Senate Democrats use Obama’s name — as well as those of his wife and running mate — in mail and online fundraising pitches. The campaign has planned no joint fundraising events with House or Senate Democrats, and insiders say none is likely to be held before Election Day.

I do not know if Obama ever helped Clinton out of her debt, but I doubt it.

Obama’s problem is that, although he raises a lot of money he spends it like a drunken sailor (with apologies to all the drunken sailors out there). His cash burn rate is incredible. He has a huge paid staff. There’s probably not much spare change lying around.
They want money because it won't be too much longer before they are running away from that name.

It is, Democrats are not too good with managing money, and the fighting within their ranks over campaign money has to build up a lot of resentment amongst them. Good Times, good times!

Kerry probably took Government financing, so the DNC got all the new campaign funds after August 31. Now Obama is sucking up all the Democrats cash.

This sounds like what he did to Hillary. What comes around goes around and this could finish Obama if the race remains close and he needs party help.
Between Obama and Hillary, they really put a hurt on the Democrat donor base. The little people have coughed up a lot of small donations for Obama, but people don’t have a lot of extra cash lying around now with gas, food and other necessities continuing to rise.
Obama’s having a big Hollywood fundraiser, but I think so far he has tried to distance himself from the left coast elite. Hobnobbing with them shows that he’s out of touch with the bitter clingers.

Someone should put together an article on what his spending in office would be like, considering his election spending rates.
Considering the current economics on Wall St., might make for a timely piece.
Have you noticed that Obama has been going it alone alot lately.. NO Hillary, No Bill Clinton, No Pelosi, No Howard Dean, No John Kerry,No Jesse Jackson, Not even Michelle Obama out there stumping with him. Could it be because his real friends.. Rezko is in jail, and his other real pals are too shady to be seen.
I've often wondered why his supporters talk about the 300 advisers as though it was a good thing. It would just mean chaos at a practical level. Anyway, what matters most is the person at the top.
They all agreed to help him but I don’t see a lot of them around on the TV news, just his campaign staff and a few others.

That’s true. I hope if “O” relents and invites Palin on, that Palin will decline. She doesn’t NEED Oprah.
It is the job of the DNC to raise the money to spread around coupled with each candidates own war chest. The DNC has no excuse this cycle around because until two weeks ago they were “destined” for great majorities and the Presidency.
The RNC, on the other hand, has it the right way around. Cash to spread around for get-out-the-vote drives for both individual candidates and the Presidential ticket. Duh.
Obama may have Oprah in his corner, but she is a shrewd business woman, and Oprah will realize after awhile that this business deal is failing.
And yet Obama and Democrats thought a world tour campaign, and the spectacular staged campaign speech was worthy of extravagant spending. Go figure.
Poor Harry, but I’m going have to think this is his own darn fault - liberals hate to hear that, but they let Barack Hussein Obama take the DNC to Chicago so that Obama can use DNC money and resources above and beyond his own campaign funds. They let him pillage the DNC bank account to put on an unwarranted and frivolous campaign event at Invesco field, complete with fugly fake columns. Barack Hussein Obama’s campaign should have been required to be responsible for a sizable portion of the costs for that seeing as how it went above and beyond the purpose of the Democratic convention.
Lesson for Harry Reid: Don’t ask what the messiah can do for you, ask what YOU can do for the messiah.
