Title: To advance the national security interests of the United States by reducing its dependency on oil through renewable and clean, alternative fuel technologies while building a bridge to the future through expanded access to Federal oil and natural gas resources, revising the relationship between the oil and gas industry and the consumers who own those resources and deserve a fair return from the development of publicly owned oil and gas, ending tax subsidies for large oil and gas companies, and facilitating energy efficiencies in the building, housing, and transportation sectors, and for other purposes.

It wouldn’t have made any difference. Hopefully we can count on the Senate and Bush shine the light on the sham they call an “Energy bill”.

I noted with disgust that one of them is my congressman, Vern Buchanan, of Florida’s 13th district. This is the guy who won by 364 votes over whiny Democrat Christine Jennings—a Nancy Pelosi clone. The reason for his small margin is that he pissed off many Republicans during the 2006 primary and they withheld their votes during the general election. He is laboring over the misconception that the environmentalists, who vote solidly Democrat, will support him if he “shows how much he cares for the environment.” I have repeatedly emailed his office regarding the need to “Drill Now, Drill Here”, but it appears to be futile. We need a decent Republican candidate in 2010.

Combine this with the outrage of China drilling in Iraq and it feels like the twilight zone where no common sense resides, just anti-Americanism.

Once again I am humiliated. It is bad enough to have Old Joe Biden as one Senator. To compound that, his assistant, the Marcel Marceau-clone, is Tom Carper. For the unititated, Carper votes with Biden 100% of the time.

Now, along comes Mike Castle - supposedly a Republican. He might as well change his name to Mike Murtha, for all the good he does.

VOTE FOR HIS OPPONENT - WHOEVER IT IS.

Udall votes with Pelosi to send as much money as possible to Saudi Arabia!

Good, another point to hammer Udall with on my precinct walk this weekend.

In addition to bringing up his War Against the Secret Ballot.

There is also a provision to FOUL UP THE STRATEGIC PETROLEUM RESERVE.

Pelosi and GANG want to replace LIGHT CRUDE WITH HEAVY CRUDE in the SPR.

That means the SPR will be able to produce less products and will be harder to refine...

HOW MUCH KICKBACK MONEY DOES PELOSI GET FOR THIS?????

WHERE IS THE DOJ PROBE INTO PELOSI AND HER ABUSE OF POWER???

The SPR (Strategic Petroleum Reserve) is meant to help out in times of crisis. By fouling up the content, it will be harder and more costly to refine products -- WHEN WE NEED THEM THE MOST...

Pelosi needs to tried for TREASON...

Hopefully some Republican in the Senate will have the smarts to offer an amendment that will remove the zero after that 50 and then threaten a filibuster unless that amendment is adopted.

How much more proof do we need to throw Pelosi and her hachet crowd OUT!! This bill will be dead in the Senate, and the WH, even though the Democrats in Pelosi’s House of Represenatives passed it. Just think what would happen if the DNC wins in November?? Horrors.. Rep. Michelle Bockman just gave a House rundown on the Dennis Miller show..and zoowie! No way say the DIMS and tried to make it look like what it ISN’T!! It passed, by them of course. Is there any other reason to put a few more GOP’s in there. Congress needs a good dose of caster oil!
