This race can only help McCain/Palin in the overall battle to take PA.
I agree. Kanjorski's in trouble in PA-11 (I think, it encompasses Scranton). If McCain and/or Palin could swing through and appear with Russell and Barletta (Kanjorski's opponent) it would undoubtedly fire up the troops and increase GOP turnout in PA, as well as increase each Congressional Pubbie's name recognition, and help them raise funds.
But I recognize that McCain/Palin have tons of requests and only so many hours/days remaining.
I would imagine this is true. Part of Murtha's district includes Johnstown and most (if not all) of Cambria County, which tends to vote pretty heavily Dem (it's one of the central PA counties that went for Gore in 2000 IIRC).
I'm proud to have the pleasure of voting for Russell.
