The fuss over Jill Greenberg's photography.--- The Atlantic offered an apology to John McCain this week after the photographer for the October cover, Jill Greenberg, posted doctored pictures of the Republican nominee on her personal Web site. It also emerged that Greenberg, a fierce anti-Republican, had photographed McCain for the magazine while he stood over a deliberately unflattering green light. In 2006, Jim Lewis discussed whether "the photographer who makes kids cry" unfairly exploits her subjects. The article is reprinted below.

I can’t imagine that this partisan witch is the only good photographer in the world, The only acceptable apology from the Atlantic should be accompanied by a letter of intent to never use her again for anything.

I guess then according to Jill, morality and integrity matter

- only most of the time

OK, some of the time, when it suits their cause.

If integrity were easy, it wouldn’t be so impressive.

The editor of The Atlantic is either complicit in Greenberg’s plan to make McCain look bad, or else too stupid to be allowed out of his house without supervision.

Just Google her name to find out about her photography and her politics!

The Atlantic (and their fellow publications) should terminate all contracts with her as she has engaged in unethical business dealings.

The news publication hired her (work for hire) to shoot photos (one or more to be selected by Atlantic editors).

She has since used photos from the shoot for her own commercial promotion of her “art”. Was this additional photography covered in her contract with Atlantic Monthly? Was it covered in the release from McCain, the subject of the photos?
