Another case of the tail waggin the dog.

It is the 1% that abuse the speed limit that cause the problem. Not the 99% that drive at a reasonable speed (even if it is above the actual limit.)

How does this solve tailgaiting (a bigger accident causer than speeding)?

How does this stop people from zig-zagging in and out of traffic (another bigger accident causer than speeding)?

A police-officer friend told me the biggest cause of accidents in their town was yellow-runners/green-jumpers. Combine people that rush to make that yellow light with someone that takes off the moment the light turns green and you’ve got an accident.
