WASHINGTON - Former U.S. president Bill Clinton on Thursday cast an approving eye at Sarah Palin's political skills, but would not be drawn into speculating whether his wife, Hillary, will run for the White House in 2012.

Clinton said he did not agree with Republican vice-presidential pick Palin on politics, but warned fellow Democrats not to underestimate her.

"She's an instinctively effective candidate and with a compelling story," Clinton said in an interview with CNBC.

"I think it was exciting to some that she was a woman," said Clinton.

"I get why she's done so well. It's a mistake to underestimate her. She's got good intuitive skills. They're significant."

Clinton said he thought McCain, a Vietnam war hero and veteran lawmaker, was a "great man" and that the election on Nov. 4 would be close, but he predicted Democrat Barack Obama would emerge triumphant.

> Bill Clinton admires Palin's instincts

Knowing Slick Willie, that's probably not all he was admiring.

I’ll bet it’s not her instincts that Bill Clinton is interested in.

"I think it was exciting to some that she was a woman," said Clinton. "For instance, I got a hard on just thinking about her."

Oh, bad llama! (slapping self) Bad! Bad!

Is this why Clinton pulled the plug on the Iranian protest rally ... I think so.

And y'all know what I do when excited.

Translation.........."I'd hit that, seriously"

Further comments from Bill Clinton indicated that he'd have visited Alaska far more frequently as president if he had only known the women up there were so hot.

Yeah, right . . . he’s “married” to Madam Kankles. A double cheese burger would look better than her. I’m surprised that there’s anything he says that makes news . . . still waiting for Juanita Broadrick to put his ass in prison for rape.

Forget it, Bubba. You don't stand a chance.

Now you and your Little ex-President just go about your business.

He ADMIRES HER.

He even seems to RESPECT HER.

He feels that Democrats won’t.

That’s what I take out of this. I could read more into this, but deep admiration from a top notch politco like B. Clinton is enough for now.

No journalist would be stupid enough to start an article with that line...the readers mind is so busy trying to stay away from the obvious comebacks that the rest of the article just kinda becomes meaningless chicken scratch..

It’s the legs.

The tanning bed.

The Moose? (Or would that remind him of sleeping with Hillary?)
