Just follow me for a moment, and then please tear this theory apart, because I really don't want to be right about this.
Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac went under, Government Bailout.
AIG Government Bail out, they insured Fannie mae and Freddy mac you see.

Ok so we have Fannie Mae clearly part of a family called the Black Caucus. Part of the FAMILY… the CONSCIOUS of Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. Its pretty obvious that these are two groups that have been working together for some time. I suspect that it got real snuggly close when the Democrats took Congress. That is speculation on my part but I would not be surprised if it were correct. None the less its irrelevant when this relationship started, only where its at.
Where is that relationship at now? Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac along with AIG in Government Bail out WE are paying for. Icing on the cake: an entire banking system living in a state of complete STRESS, waiting for the next failure to pop its head out like a diseased packrat living in a landfill. Obama is the second largest recipient of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac political contributions....... Obama KNEW in 05 there was a problem! McCain was TALKIN about it and he wasn't trying to hush it up! Obama was and STILL IS part of the PROBLEM!!!!! Corruption at the highest levels of Power, he is a US Senator, there to serve the people. Instead, he made Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae POSSIBLE! He is part of the PROBLEMS we have with the entire Banking system!!! Right this instant!!!
Wow, THIS guy is running up against a real live American HERO who was tortured for his country. He took TORTURE, and the Democrats offer up this Offal? Oh man.... They offer us Corruption in the form of Obama, Dressed up. This man is on the HOMELAND SECURITY COMMITTEE??? Lipstick anyone?
Now, take it further, just a step, who was the number one recipient of Political Contributions from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to Obama’s number 2? Chris Dodd (D) Chairman of the senate BANKING COMITTEE. Yea.... more dots to connect I know... and that is what scares me.

It’s very simple.
Freddie and Fannie were where old Dhimmi hacks went to die.
They cooked the books to do two things:
a) cover loans that lenders were REQUIRED to make to minority communities knowning full well that they would never be paid back;
b) allow Freddie/Fannie leaders to make a brazillian dollars which they could then use to corrupt the people (like Dodd, Clinton, Obambi) who were oestensibly assigned to oversee them.
“Cherchez l’argent.”
See, the problem is it won’t matter. Democratic corruption doesn’t count.
Just as the Democrats are willing to lose a war to regain the White House (and to control Congress), so to are they willing to destroy the American economy (and thus the world's) in order to achieve that same goal.
They are now far beyond our common definition of corrupt. That would be too easy an explanation, because that's usually just about money.
They are about far more than simple money, they are about absolute power, at any and all costs, including the livelihoods (and lives) of anyone who is in their way.
The bottom line is Fannie Mae went overboard to secure mortgages for borrowewrs who did not qualify, but because many of those borrowers were minorities, and thus members of a protected class — indeed, minorities were specifically targeted for the loans — a blind eye was turned to the risky practice, all in order to placate and appease a very vocal and militant group of activits who would scream “Discrimination!” at the tops of their lungs in order to advance their social agenda.
No, can’t pick this apart because you have hit the nail on the head...Both Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae have Foundations that spread money all over Washington DC...Now add in Foundations that may be run by: Sallie Mae, Ginnie Mae,The Resolution Trust Corporation plus a private Foundation known as the Annenburg Foundation (11th largest in the USA) and you can just imagine the money that must be flying around Congress...Oh- and don’t forget the lobbyists too....Got the picture now?...this is what FReepers have been saying here for the past few days and weeks...
Yes. I remember mentioning on a thread a few months back that there were $550 trillion in derivatives out there, and that the growth of these abominations was actually accelerating, instead of winding down, and that they represented a serious threat to the entire world economy.
The only responses were to pooh-pooh the danger.
Now there are evidently $600 trillion in derivatives outstanding, and nobody has the slightest IDEA what they involve and what they are worth, probably not even the people who are holding them.
Except that the total amount is many times more than the entire world’s gross national product.
That has GOT to be stopped. It just ain’t right. Never thought to see such a vision of Corruption.
How can anyone of good concious, Democrat, Republican, Independent... How can any AMERICAN POSSIBLY continue to support them??? What’s IN that Koolaid???? Just DAMN.

They oppose the war on financial grounds. The money spent in Iraq was diverted from their cover plan. They never expected 9/11 to happen, hence the war, hence the rebuilding, hence the billions of dollars unavailable to cover this mess up when the bill came due.
They thought they could quietly pay this off, everyone got free homes, and nobody was the wiser.
Problem is, Congress is filled with the people who are able to garner the most votes during an election year.
None of them are qualified to hold their seat and the incumbents should be voted out - regardless of party affiliation.
When you're dealing with fiat money.. its only paper..
Who knows the coniving that can be done..
The problem might be conived away.. who knows..
BUT everyone will the KNOW central banks are crooks then..
Heck when you can be taxed on something you OWN, then already whatever you OWN you are RENTING it from the government anyway.. The sheeple will bleat and continue grazing..

evidently, fannie mae does not make the loans but buys them once the loans were made - and from my reading, laws were passed to encourage (if not force) these loans to be made
i read on one thread that an institution was not allowed to grow if they did not participate in this drunken loan giveaway - how was their growth prevented if they did not participate?
anyone know the bill numbers that were passed? or maybe give a description of when these bills passed? i have raines, gorelick and johnson burned into my head, but curious about the bills that were passed
