Washington, DC -- A new commercial from the Obama slams a survivor of a botched late-term abortion and presidential candidate John McCain as "sleazy" for promoting a "despicable lie" that calls Obama into question for his votes against providing medical care to babies who survive failed abortions.

As LifeNews.com reported, Gianna Jessen, a young woman who survived a failed saline abortion in the late 1970s, chides Obama for voting repeatedly against bills in the Illinois legislature to stop infanticide.

She released an ad about Obama's votes against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act and pointed out how even abortion advocates like Hillary Clinton and John Kerry voted for a similar bill on the federal level.

The Obama campaign has just released a scathing new ad in response.

If I'm wrong and the American people still want to put Obama in the White House - assuming the polls are to be believed - its a reflection on their love of celebrity than doing what is right. I will never change my views just to have our side win an election. The price for that is too high.

Alan Colmes, when Gianna was on H&C, called it patently ridiculous to say that 0bama supports infanticide.

All the libs I’ve talked to say the same thing.

Doesn’t matter what evidence you put in front of them, it’s the same answer - that’s ridiculous. No refutation of the evidence, just a refusal to acknowledge the support of infanticide.

The polls are meaningless prior to the two weeks leading up to the election, and IMO are worthless then, too.

Bottom line is people do not react well to emotional outbursts & vitriolic language from their presidential candidates.

Seriously, if you want to understand the abortion issue, it is NOT about "keeping it legal", but about "keeping it amoral". That means that the "pro-choicers" want NO INDICATION in public policy that would remind them of how wrong it is. Their psyches can't allow it.

I hope you are correct. But it seems that with the latest batch of elections, the more crazy things a candiate says help democrats. They are rabid dogs waiting for the kill.
