WASHINGTON - A federal judge Saturday ordered Dick Cheney to preserve a wide range of records from his time as vice-president.
The decision by U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly is a setback for the administration in its effort to promote a narrow definition of materials that must be safeguarded under by the Presidential Records Act.
A private group, Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, is suing Cheney and the Executive Office of the President in an effort to ensure that no presidential records are destroyed.

Easy response ... IF Obama wins, Bush grant Cheney and HIMSELF and any member of his Administration a Full Pardon for all crimes, real or imagined.
If the Dems try to circumvent THAT, they’ll be violating the Constitution in a most brash and public way that won’t survive Supreme Court review.

Red meat for the wacko lefties so the wackos can ‘feel good’ about Obammy maybe taking off after the prior administration when he takes office. There is no there there, or both he and Bush would already have been impeached.

Could they be looking for Obamas birth certificate? Rest assured no one is looking for Barry's: -college records
-Illinois State Senate records
-Illinois State Senate calendar (esp Nov 5-10, 1999)
-phone records Dec 2007 between his cell phone and members of Wright's church
-gee, the list could go on....

Obama would ask his AG to immediately review potential of crimes in Bush White House Yes, nothing would unite the country like a good show trial. If they are stupid enough to go there, presuming the American public is stupid enough to vote them in, then the Civil War was just a dress rehearsal.

Scipio Africanus, who saved Rome from Carthage, was later ordered to produce documents for the Senate, which was investigating him.
He produced a bucket full of ashes (he had burned the records).
He later asked to be buried anywhere except on Roman soil.

CREW just filed this lawsuit on September 8th. Here's a link to their explanation of the suit:
CREW SUES VP CHENEY
The Judge's decision is a preliminary injunction. Wikipedia's definition of "preliminary injunction" is:
"A preliminary injunction, in equity, is an injunction entered by a court prior to a determination of the merits of a legal case, in order to restrain a party from going forward with a course of conduct until the case has been decided."
Further info is here:

How about a response to Barry's background similar to what was launched against Palin when 30 SWAT team members were air dropped into Alaska for the sole purpose of digging up dirt? Where is the GOP (you know the ones running the dirty 'negative' campaign) with a tit for tat on Barry? Oh that's right we want to above the fray (This is the way to loose elections).
I have to hand it to Schmidt though, he has really turned around the McCain campaign which a few months ago was all 'sweetness and light'. Hit Obama and hit him hard - there are so many lies and so many gaffes that Schmidt has more material than he can use.

Really? Sounds like the judge needs a lesson on the concept of separation of powers. Maybe Cheney can provide this Robed Ass with an order to turn over all of their records. :)

Well Biden told a bunch in FL that he and Obama would impeach Bush/Cheney if they found evidence. Cheney should shred every piece of paper in his possession and then give them the bags of confetti. The Dems are full of hate; they are just evil.

Did Biden really threaten to impeach Bush & Cheney? How can you impeach someone who is no longer in office, which will be the case for Bush and Cheney after Jan. 20, 2009? That makes as much sense as Obama’s idea of going to the UN Security Council to deal with Russia’s aggression against Georgia.
To: Verginius Rufus
Yes, Biden was in FL and some dupe asked him if they would impeach Bush/Cheney. Biden said they certainly would if they found evidence, bla bla bla. Then on Sunday morning show someone asked him about impeaching and he said he never said that, and he double talked, denied it bla bla bla.

The 'Rats are so used to the media covering for them that they feel that they can say anything, even easily-disproven falsehoods, without repercussions. Bill Clinton is on tape admitting that he turned down an offer from the Sudan of Osama bin Laden...and later could deny ever saying it.
Barackzebub has shown himself a master of deceit. I'd be tempted to think Biden was trying to show that he's worthy to be his sidekick, but he's probably been doing the same thing for the last 35 years.
