Moses Lake boy recovering from pit bull attack
"...doctors reattached the boy's nose and ears. He faces more surgeries." (Seattle Times)
Cops kill 2 of 3 pit bulls mauling boy (Chicago Sun-Times)
Maybe laws should be passed making it illegal to allow pit bulls in households with children.
Prayers offered up.
The defenders will be here soon...
The owner needs to go to jail.
Every time I see a pit bull my trigger finger gets itchy.
That being said, I’ve met some really sweet ones whose owners knew what they were doing with dogs. The ones I worry about are the ones I see wearing spiked collars accompanied by young gang-banger wannabee low-life humans.
They should have gotten rid of the dogs when it was clear that they were showing aggression around the baby. Some dogs don’t take well to kids coming in.
At a rescue I used to volunteer at, a couple brought in a dog because he didn’t like their little boy once he started crawling around. He wasn’t a pit bull, but he was a very large, strong dog. He was great with adults, but he was jealous of the little boy.
NO Cheers, unfortunately.
Dogs of peace ping....

I'm getting a sense of the location in my mind's eye...
Why is this stuff posted?! It serves no purpose but to make us cry. This story will haunt me for the next couple months.
Please stop posting this stuff!!
Some of those low-lifes moved in next door to my mother, and now they have a pitbull. There's no gate on the yard. The dog runs around freely. The police do nothing.
Prayers for this poor little baby. There's too much tragedy in this world.
They are peaceful dogs like all dogs.
But, like the unfortunate humans who are neglected and abused, the become unruly, aggressive, and small of mind.
Yeah, you’re right about the gang-banger element. Some rapper has a CD out with a cover of him holding a woman and a pit bull on a leash. He asks, “which is the meanest bitch?” I’ve heard my friends tell me that when these attacks occur it’s not the dog’s fault. Gee, that’s some consolation when your child’s face is eaten off! And it never seems to be a Lab or Poodle. This happens in San Antonio about once a month. I can’t imagine what I’d do if I had young children and there was a pit bull next door that snarled and growled at them daily.
About 6-10 tabs of the human heart medicine digoxin in a meatball will solve that problem.
I work in an emergency room and see lots of dog bites from lots of breeds. However, we’re talking one or two bites, not an attempt to kill. It seems that once certain breeds get going they won’t stop and pit bulls are the most infamous of these.
Other than the little issue of genetics and the purpose of the breed from its beginnings - to kill. Other than that, they are peaceful dogs....
