Here's the reality. John McCain and Sarah Palin are trying to lie their way into the White House. We cannot let them get away with it. But if you don't act to stop them, nobody will.
Right now, the McCain-Palin method of stubbornly repeating lies and crying foul every time they're called on it is being imitated in GOP campaigns all across the country.

You don't have to be a soothsayer to make this prediction: Unless McCain and Palin both develop a chronic case of laryngitis, they will lie again. (And even if they do lose their voices, they'll lie in their ads.) Maybe Palin will repeat her mantra about saying "thanks, but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere despite demonstrable, provable, check-the-videotape-for-yourself evidence that she supported this famous symbol of wasteful government spending as a candidate for Governor.
Heck, she's gotten her state and city so much pork, she's at risk of trichinosis.

I discovered Paul Begala during the Clinton-Lewinski scandal. He always reminded me of the little brother who tagged along wanting to get noticed by the big kids as he put in his two cents worth on the defense of the it’s just sex behavior of the then president.
