The “laaahd” will flow as Michelle Obama joins genteel food maven Paula Deen on an episode of “Paula’s Party,” Sept. 20 on the Food Network.

On the show, “Grease is the Word,” the wife of the Democratic presidential candidate meets up with Deen “on the campaign trail” to make the TV chef’s famous fried shrimp and Creole french fries.

According to the network’s press release: “Michelle gives Paula a taste of her family life on the road to the White House and shares fun facts, including the first meal she made for Barack, what kinds of local foods the family seeks out on the road and that Barack makes a mean chili!”

I don’t watch her anymore. I used to love her and her simple ways and her love of her part of the country. However, her “party” show is loud and crass at times. Watched it twice and after that said no way. I think a lot of it is plain fake and phony. I really don’t care if she has anyone on political becuase it is a cooking show and politics should not enter into it at all. I guess when some people make it big they just can’t help getting big headed. There are lots of BIG NAME MOVIE STARS AND TV people who manage to keep their work and politics separate. Sorry Paula couldn’t have kept on her simple life theme. She’s way over the top now and too silly and loud for me anymore.

PS; Hope you learned a lot about cooking though.
