I’m really astonished that these guys were ever dumb enough to try for a 50 states (57?) strategy or anything close to it. If I were working for the Dem candidate this time out I’d completely ignore all the “it’s the Dems’ year” blather and focus on a list of 10-12 battleground states where Bush or Kerry won by a slight percentage in 2004. Keep the blues, take away a couple of the reds and the White House goes Dem. Instead, in their vast arrogance, these guys think they can take away Alaska (a forlorn hope long before the Palin pick) and North Dakota (”What? Are you high?”).
It reminds me of the 2006 fight over the traditional marriage amendment to the Wisconsin constitution. The head of the pro-gay marriage effort said If I can get every voter to think for 15 seconds, I can win this election hands down. Im not glib about that. Getting voters to think for 15 seconds is really hard because they have lives, families, football. Something tells me Obama’s advisers thought he could hopenitize voters in almost any locale and win 500 electoral votes.
I fail to see why Indiana is a battleground state. He’s most likely wasting his money which is a good thing. Liberal money is best when wasted as it is stolen money.
Let me guess, the city elections are almost inflexibly Democrat dominated.
And the reason it can't fly , is, like 0bami full of cr@p
I honestly don’t know at this point.
I haven’t lived in Charlotte since the summer of 1990. We do have an ex-Charlotte Mayor for our Republican candidate for Governor (McCrory) who seems to be a bit of “conservative-lite”.
I’ve lived in Raleigh since I graduated from NC State. It’s just like Charlotte was 20-30 years ago. Although the recent influx of northerners, has altered things a bit. It’s not all been a bad influence, just mostly, and mostly confined to Cary. I was happy to sell my house in Cary and move to the County.
LOL!
Heh-heh... the free state of North Dakota. Obama-free zone.
That and running full page ads listing the pork brought back home is why they get re-elected.
That's ok obama..there is still East Dakota and West Dakota..states number 53 and 54..
But but but, it’s a swing state.
