So Who Will Obama Debate? (oh-so-vain)

Posted on 09/24/2008 3:45:07 PM PDT by Charles Bronson Forever

All jokes aside, I think it's too late to accept McCain's offer to postpone. I dunno. I think McCain should announce immediately that Palin will debate Barry-that way, if Barry backs out, it'll look like HE'S afraid of the Barracuda.

I don't believe that McCain is able to substitute someone else in the officially-sanctioned debate.

This is a bad move. People may just say, hey, if he wants to be a Senator so bad, let's let him stay in the Senate. It's not like we don't already have a President and Senate leader. WTF is McCain thinking?

That's one option (I don't think McCain will take, because in a way it would demean him for the next debate, esp. if he looks bad next to Palin).

A better TV image is Obama on stage by himself with the empty podium and shots of McCain working feverishly on "doing the American peoples' business."

I think McCain will end up having to debate, but he will do so reluctantly, and hopefully talk about how Obama is voting “Present” once again.

McCain should not, better not change his mind. This is THE right thing to do. This is a MONSTER of a crisis. He should just say to O’Marxo, “Look, last three weeks of Oct., let’s debate 6 times.”

Ralph Nader is no conservative but he'd like the camera time. He'll talk the issues, not celebrity. And it'd be funny to see Obama try to out lib him.

The DNC talking points are wrong. They are saying that “this” is the guy who will be addressing this issue in 40 days. NO ONE will be sworn in until January 20th, 2009.

President Bush and the current Congress will need to act long before January.

This is something that does concern me on how this could backfire. Let’s say McCain is a no-show, but the debate goes on with an Obama-friendly moderator. This could turn out into a two hour long, infomercial, on every station, for Obama. He can just sit there and flap his gums with zero challenge.

If Mac goes to washington AND shows up at the debate, it will show he is quite capale of “multi-tasking.”

If the Emo stays in his room cramming for his debate exam, and never shows his face in DC this week, HE will be the one incapable of multi-tasking.

But i dont have any problem with Sarah going in Mc’s stead to debate teleprompter boy.

I love the idea that McCain is going back to work and leave Obama blowing hot air on the campaign trail.

Yes, we have a president, but we also have Senators. And since most liberals think of the president as a dictator, we conservatives think of the balance of power, and McCain can once again prove he is the leader that Bush has not been.

So who has more to lose here? I think it’s Obamarama. He’s gonna look mighty stupid. Besides, it not a debate on the economy. Sheesh! Even if it does turn into an Obama press conference, you just know McCain will slice Obama apart at the next debate, the real debate.

"He should just say to O’Marxo, “Look, last three weeks of Oct., let’s debate 6 times.”"

He should say to Obama, "Look Barack, you've been claiming that if elected, you'd be bi-partisan and reach across the aisle. I just gave you the opportunity to do so by joining me in Washington, and trying to work out this problem, and you refused."

Palin needs to be in Washington with McCain every step of the way.

As I posted on another thread:

First, that is what suspending his campaign means.

Secondly, otherwise it would look like she’s not worthy of being in on the big-boy stuff when it’s crunch time.

Third, she’ll get an education she won’t forget and real fast.

I’ve got just the tune for Dingy Harry, and if Obama wants to to to Mississippi well then be my guest; and enjoy the music.

Oh, I wish I was in the land of cotton,
Old times there are not forgotten,
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land.

In Dixie Land, where I was born in,
early on one frosty mornin’,
Look away, look away, look away Dixie Land.

I wish I was in Dixie, Hooray! Hooray!
In Dixie Land I’ll take my stand
to live and die in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie.
Away, away, away down south in Dixie

Count me in on the just don’t show bandwagon... let Obama grandstand on national TV for a few hours (or however long it lasts)... then the next week spend every dime the campaign has on running the following commercial...

fade in white text on black screen: 7/22/08
fade to clip of McCain interview... ‘I would much rather lose a campaign than lose a war... Senator Obama would rather lose a war than lose a campaign”
fade to black screen, white text again: “We are facing an economic Pearl Harbor” - Warren Buffet, 9/23/2008
fade to wide shot of debate stage from behind with two podiums and one empty and one with an almost silhouette figure that looks like BHO with LOTS of backlighting to create a celebrity atmosphere (but a still shot to imply inaction)...
fade to McCain sitting at table with others working the issue (a video though to show action)...
fade to black screen again with white text: John McCain, Country First. Fade out.

I figure the empty suit has about a 50-50 chance of winning against the empty chair. Palin would destroy him. McCain would annihilate him. So, yes, I like the idea. Once she hands 0’s ass to him, Biden will be reduced to quivering jelly for the VP debate and we can put this “is she ready?” question to bed.

I find it most informative of the media whoredom that they are purposely avoiding to cite that a debate can be rescheduled very easily, but this railroading legislation the democrats want so badly must be dealt with NOW. John McCain is showing what mature leadership is about, while Barry Soetoro Obama is showing how a neophyte almost blackman who imagines himself to be a messiah puts his political capital ahead of Country. But we ought not be surprised that democrats think like this, they’ve been using the slaughter of alive unborn for decades as a means to empower themselves. I’m learning to hate democrats.

I say let the gass bag sit there and make a fool of himself! He has zero foreign policy experience, so whatever his handlers have programed into his gas filled head will come out in rambling, stuttering sentences which will put the audience to sleep. Giving a fabricated candidate all the rope to hang himself seems to be a good thing.
