It's the exact same thing...All over again.
Glad to see this information making into at least a few major media organs.
No offense taken. I'm not a republican. Not a Republican, either.
I think it's partly trying to sweep it under the rug before it's revealed he's at the heart of why it happened, isn't it?
But, I think the bigger reason is that his banker buddies need the govt to cough up the cash before Bush leaves office because they know they probably won't get it afterward.
The fact they are having to pay for something that “will never happen” is what I’m smiling about.
When I had this house built nearly 20 years ago (by all American workers) each little bit had to be checked off by the building inspector...
Consequently, the place has not fallen down around my ears and everything still works..
The long driveway was paved by a black American company and they did a great job...
Exactly.
Hey thats good. I will henceforth refer to the crisis as "Bush's Home Ownership Challenge".
Of course its not fair to hang this on Bush exclusively but we average republicans sent him to Washington to look after the America's interests - instead he played footsie with Ted, Chris & Barney.
Its beyond debate that Bush not only bought into the 'ownership society' BS, he waved the flag for it with gusto.
It’s totally anecdotal, I know, but the people who used to have my business phone number are named “Milagros Vincente”, “Ogliana Mazer” and “Carmen Santori”. How do I know that? Because they still get about a two dozen “pay up deadbeat” phone calls per week from a variety of collection agents.
You too, eh? LOL! It’s a pretty common phenomenon here in Texas.
I'll have to leave it at that for today. There are more important issues to deal with at the moment.Namely, giving my family's tax dollars away for deadbeats.
I was being sarcastic but, if they are paying taxes, it comes directly out of their pay.
With the way so many are supposedly leaving the country or moving to less threatening area, I could see them walking out on their bills and mortgage.
A July, 1958 Harper's magazine article said:
“The most powerful clique in these (CFR) groups have one objective in common: they want to bring about the surrender of the sovereignty and the national independence of the U.S. They want to end national boundaries and racial and ethnic loyalties supposedly in increase business and ensure world peace.
What they strive for would inevitably lead to dictatorship and loss of freedoms by the people. The CFR was founded for ‘the purpose of promoting disarmament and submergence of U.S. sovereignty and national independence into an all-powerful one-world government’.”

I’ve been wondering the same thing myself.
There are many who’ve been rallying for a bailout of the homeowners themselves, who’ve been deemed ‘victims’ in all this. I’m not sure if that means they would get to keep their homes scott free, but wouldn’t that just beat all...first they are wrongly given mortgages without a ssn, without jobs, without proper credit...and, then they are rewarded a second time when mortgages are paid for.
Just bumping this........
It will not be released.
But here's a number that is available:
85% of those that reside in California today, who have Hispanic surnames, can trace their existence in the United States to illegal immigration across our southern border since 1950.
A surprising percentage first emigrated to Texas and then moved on to California when the Bracero program swung into high gear. Many native Californians, including resident Hispanics, in the 50s and 60s, assumed these new citizens were long time residents of Texas, when, in fact, they were modally Mexicans who only recently escaped the economic desperation of central and northern Mexico.
I worked in loans and RE in the late 60’s/early 70’s. Regarding new loans for purchase, there were only really three types of loans we dealt with, FHA, VA and Conventional, and the latter were 20% down, 10 + 10 in less common cases. For her income to be considered, the wife had to prove she was either done having kids or couldn’t have kids or was on birth control (note from Dr., imagine that today!). If a loan officer made a bad loan and the lender had to foreclose, despite all the checks and balances, the loan person might find himself tending the property until it sold; lenders did not wish REO property on their record. The loans made in recent years are what we would have called “Mickey Mouse” loans, and it’s no surprise how it all turned out.
Mark - llegals and mortgage frauds reference.
Oh, probably because they know "the govt will bail them out" if things go wrong, huh?
I saw this on Fox news blog:
Some Democratic leaders said as much publicly, laying the blame partly on McCain, whom they accused of destabilizing the talks by calling for the candidates to enter the economic negotiations. "The next thing we know, he's in a position frankly where he's making it harder to get things done, rather than help us negotiate differences," Rep. Barney Frank, D-Mass., said.
All they've done is try to lay the blame at the feet of Republicans when we know that the MAJORITY is ruled by Democrats!
