It’s OK for those with murder on their minds to carry guns ... but just let someone who is legally licensed to carry a gun ... from what I’ve read of the story, she can carry open which is OK in Pennsylvania (but not in Philly) ... and also in Washington. I have a CPP for Washington and whenever I’m in Seattle I carry ... nice Beretta Tomcat.32 loaded with Glazer Safties ... my Springfield 1911A1 .45 is a tad bit heavy to carry in a purse ....

I’m not exactly sure why she has to wear the gun to the soccer game. Apparently, it’s legal, but the questions is- Why? I mean, it’s probably legal for her to scratch her ass at the game. Or burp, or pass gas, or pick her nose. But the point is, why would she do it? If it’s disturbing the parents and kids, why not show some class and just leave it in the car during the game?

Meleanie Hain wears her loaded Glock 26 on her hip when she attends her 5-year-old daughter s soccer practices and games at Optimist Park. It s not that she s expecting trouble, Hain explains; she carries the weapon everywhere. (Jim Zengerle / Lebanon Daily News)

Sounds like she’s within her rights and could very well bring suit against the soccer association and the county for revoking her permit without cause. State law supercedes county and community rules - end of story.

I look at it this way - how many crazies are there out there that just show up and blast away ... how many mall shootings, how many shootings in schools and in churches ... and how many politicians and media idiots come out saying that guns should be banned by law abiding citizens?
Some one out to kill a bunch of people doesn’t care about signs or laws ... but one person who can legally carry a gun could stop someone from killing innocents?????

That’s why I carry ... to stay safe .... I have what’s called a ‘throw down wallet’ a wallet with those look-alike credit cards, some fake money that look pretty real and fake ID ... someone wants to mug me I give them that ... OTOH if someone wants to stab me (as has happened to some un-armed women in Seattle) I’ll shoot first .....

A good example of using the Left’s tactic of being provocative and “in your face”. Unless you are breaking a law, MAKE them accomidate you.

"Former District Judge Nigel Foundling, who serves as director of the Lebanon Recreation Youth Soccer Program, told Isabella s mom in an e-mail that carrying a weapon violates the program s policy. A responsible adult would realize that such behavior has no place at a soccer game, Foundling wrote."

What if a crazy loon opens fire on the field, such as the Virginia Tech incident? What will be the "public safety" argument by these popinjay officials then, as cell-phoning parents wait in agony for the police to arrive?

I carry a Glock 31 in 357SIG with one spare mag . My Girl Friday carries a S&W 340 with a barimi grip inside her waistband on her slacks, jeans or skirt. The S&W 340 also has a bianchi speed strip attached for six spare rounds. I as do you carry a money clip with about 20 one dollar bills that looks like a lot of cash that is a throw down distraction.

Taking responsibility for your own security and safety is something more should do IMO !

Hope yer well......

It is annoying how some anti-gun nuts can and do try to disarm law abiding citizens, but the same anti-gun nuts can’t figure out a way to disarm criminals.

Also annoying is how they go about equating a safely holstered weapon by a qualified, law abiding citizen with danger, as if said weapon would somehow unholster itself and come after them.

If it’s disturbing the parents and kids, why not show some class and just leave it in the car during the game?

I guess you're right since nothing ever happens in parking lots when you're at a soccer game.

Of course nobody breaks into a car at a soccer match and steals stuff that may be kept under the seat or in the glove box.

So if she can't carry concealed, is worried about leaving it in a car and may visit other places after the game like the Mall, or a McDonald's or a Luby's cafeteria, she should probably leave it at home.

Cause nothing ever happens at a Luby's cafeteria during the day.... or a McDonalds....

Why don’t you ask my MIL about that? Her neighbor’s little girl was kidnapped from a softball game in Alma Arkansas in full view of the folks at the game. No one has seen her since.

So she should wear it to a wedding? And a funeral? And a baptism? Hell, using your reasoning, she should wear it in the bathtub- no telling when some ornery crook is gonna jump her there. Look, I’m not debating her right to wear the gun, just questioning the common sense of wearing it to a kids’ soccer game. Instead of people being so worried about their right to do something, or so damned hotheaded about who’s right and who’s wrong, why not be willing to talk to each other and hopefully come to some kind of compromise so everyone is able to enjoy an activity whose sole purpose is for kids to enjoy being kids.

Not having your gun with you when you go out is not helpful if you need it, for instance while eating lunch at the cafeteria.

So she should wear it to a wedding? And a funeral? And a baptism?

Why not? There have been attacks by mass murderers/terrorists in churches. Look it up. Tell me - you only insure your home during the rainy season? Or all year?

Hell, using your reasoning, she should wear it in the bathtub- no telling when some ornery crook is gonna jump her there.

Why not? More power to her.

Look, I’m not debating her right to wear the gun, just questioning the common sense of wearing it to a kids’ soccer game.

You know what? "Kids' soccer games," and shopping malls, and office buildings, probably rank high on the list of potential targets for Islamo-socialist terrorists. I'm very surprised that we have not had coordinated shopping mall, or school yard, attacks already."Kids' soccer games?" Remember the terrorist attack on the Russian school? If not, you better look it up.

Instead of people being so worried about their right to do something, or so damned hotheaded about who’s right and who’s wrong, why not be willing to talk to each other and hopefully come to some kind of compromise so everyone is able to enjoy an activity whose sole purpose is for kids to enjoy being kids.

"(A)n activity whose sole purpose is for kids to enjoy being kids?" Tell that to the animals who butchered the Russian school kids. There is NOTHING wrong with your law-abiding neighbors bearing arms. Absolutely NOTHING...

If someone else starts fighting and you draw down on them YOU will go to jail. YOU MUST be in fear for YOUR life to draw down on someone.

“YOU MUST be in fear for YOUR life to draw down on someone.”

If the law in your area is so written, you need to get them to fix it. Most places, you can also do so in defense of others. My MIL wishes she’d been at that game that day.

So she should wear it to a wedding? And a funeral? And a baptism? Hell, using your reasoning, she should wear it in the bathtub- no telling when some ornery crook is gonna jump her there...........or so damned hotheaded about who’s right and who’s wrong, why not be willing to talk to each other and hopefully come to some kind of compromise

you seem to be the one using the liberals favorite tactic... use the extreme example.... and as far as hotheaded. Sorry if I upset you.

Why don't we settle this the way Americans should.... you can choose when to be able to defend yourself and she can choose when she can defend herself.

That sounds "reasonable". I'm not uncomfortable when a police officer shows up with a weapon or if one of the guys I know is off duty and has a weapon in his fanny pack or leg holster....at a wedding reception, escorting a funeral.... as far as a baptism....well I'll even admit that I have these in my pocket in case I need the police

(not mine but copy I found on the seacamp website).

Now if this lady were brandishing it and gripping her weapon as she was yelling at the refs, well I might think she'd be a public menace.

I don't know how you feel about firearms and their use, but to me they are just tools. I've used them, I've had them used against me and they are unbelievably loved if the situation arises that you need one.... and unbelievably desired if the situation arises and you don't have one.

It's like fire and flood insurance, you hope you never need it, but when you do...you feel like an idiot if you don't have it... a dead idiot. Next time you're coming home from the game and stop at a convenience store or a McDonalds, look around and think what you'd do if some idiot showed up and started walking around shooting people. ....

You'd run, you'd try and hide behind something or get into another room..... then call 9-11. Doors don't stop bullets very often, especially in cars...so there you are. Phone call made and now you wait and pray and sweat and hope that somebody will "do something" to make him stop shooting.

ANYBODY can calmly walk around firing one round every 2-3 seconds and empty about 3-4 magazines by the time the police show up. Scary, huh?

Apparently this woman chose "not" to be scared. You'd be surprised how many people in a crowd are carrying a weapon. People are getting tired of reading about how sad it is that the gunman shot a bunch of people and had time to reload and keep going. I think that the internet and bypassing the lib propaganda of states with CCW permits turning into the "Wild West" are starting to affect everybody's decision to carry a weapon..... even women.

she should wear it in the bathtub

Exactly so. They make a special bar magnet to mount on the wall or under a counter specifically for that purpose.
