I don’t recall Graham saying this. He said that ACORN funding is 20% in the proposed bailout bill, and that is a bone of contention with Republicans. So no deal.

I’m not really surprised. They get bolder and bolder. Government has grown so massive and entrenched over the last century. I mean look at where we are. We’re talking about bailing out companies with $700B paid with either tax payer dollars or printing money.
Lindsey Graham was on Fox with Greta and said there will be no deal with Acorn getting money in the original proposal. We will fight against that.

I had feared this proposal. The rats are trying to destroy the mortgage market. If lenders cannot be assured about loan collaterol, the lending market will collapse. Perhaps that is the goal of the rats. They want to control the mortgage market just like the student loan market.
The two markets are looking very similar. Students get subsidized loans. Interest is subsidized until graduation and then kept artificially low. After graduation, payment schedules are contingent upon earning capacity. Government employees can get their student loan debt forgiven after 10 years. With the bailout bill passed in July, first time home buyers qualify for a $7,500 refundable tax credit. The credit is an interest free loan payable over 15 years. Now the rats want to allow anyone to get their home loan renegotiated by the courts.
No bailout is better than a bailout with these terms. This bill will be the end of the mortgage market as we know it.
