You know, we spend some portion of time on FR talking about what issues in culture, immigration, government, etc. will lead to the second American Revolution, or to a Civil War within this country. Much of it, I believe is nonsense.

This however, this “Truth Squad” driven by candidates, involving partisan prosecutors and sheriffs, THIS is what will trigger the sort of breakdown that would unravel any demeanor of civility in this country. Assault the First Amendment, prosecute political adversaries for not adhering to speech codes as defined by the partisan politicians and their lackeys in law enforcement, and watch what happens next.

Obama is treading on very dangerous ground here. VERY dangerous. And the station covering this, and the prosecutors discussing it seem blithely unaware of what is really going on here.

Oh, geez, this is a sure sign of things to come if Obama is elected President. We will have the brown shirt “Truth Squad” watching every move we make if we disagree with an Obama Administration.

Can't people see the writing on the wall if this guy is elected President?

That which is intolerable to one may be a mosquito bite to another. In one locale, infringements of guaranteed rights may be mostly pro forma, in others they may be rigidly enforced and thereby far more apparant.

But civility has pretty much gone by the wayside, not quite the first casualty of such a conflict, but among the first.
