I saw you asking about this on our local board. Obama is 6.25% Native African or Black.

good art...Barry went to Pakistan and returned as Barack.
He is still Barrack and is looking more and more like he intends to continue the slaver part of his Arab family’s history.

O(b)(s)ama has no idea of what it was like to be a slave, but he is a slave to MONEY, and to the Democrat party, as are the remains of slavery in this country. They conveniently have forgotten that it has been Republican leadership that gave them their freedom, and now they refuse to engage that freedom, preferring to play “poor me, poor me”. Not slaves any more but blindly following, like sheep.

>>>he intends to continue the slaver part of his Arab family’s history.

Kenya and surrounding geographies never stopped slavery or human trafficking. Therefore, his support for Odinga shows he doesn’t object to the practice.

He’s going to enslave us all. The Arabs enslaved whites too — especially blonde, blue-eyed women.

All this talk about slavery stalking our national soul and wounding our consciousness, or whatever, is ridiculous. I grew up in the Sixties and don’t recall anyone talking like that, even blacks. My school history texts contained an appropriate section on slavery and its abolition. It was generally agreed that slavery had been an unfortunate thing but that it had benefits for blacks as well, namely that it brought them to the one nation on earth that provided them with the highest standard of living.

Most blacks that I grew up with never mentioned slavery unless somehow it came up by coincidence in conversation. If that happened, they were pretty realistic about it. No man should own another man, they’d say, but they also were glad they were here and not in Africa. They didn’t walk around all day wailing that slavery stalked our national consciousness and wounded our national soul, and that we needed to dwell on it all the time, find some way to compensate for it, or that whites needed to rent their garments and lie in sackcloth and ashes for a couple of centuries in shame.

American Thinker belongs on you Favorites list. It's simply fantastic.

Notice if you will that it is the Republican Party that wanted to fight for Liberation in Iraq. The Democrats, reverting to ancient form, were content to leave the Iraqis in slavery. Some things never change.

I have heard this slavery crap all my life and I am an old man. I am sick of it as no relative of mine ever had a part in slavery. They all immigrated to this country long after that took place.

I used to work next to a 7-11 owned by a Pakistani family. They were all good guys until one went home for a month; he returned with a beard, a round hat and an attitude.

But, but............Whoopi Goldberg had the audacity to ask John McCain if she had to worry about being a slave, because of John McCain wanting to appoint judges who want to interpret the Constitution based on the original intent of the Founding Fathers.

Whoopi doesn’t know or doesn’t give a blank that the 13th amendment outlawed slavery, and that McCain’s judges will also properly interpret that amendment.

The level of idiocy and ignorance is appalling. Roseanne Barr was on some show recently. And she said she was concerned about Sarah Palin. And she said, how, first, they will take away a woman’s right to abortion. And then Roseanne said, what’s next, they will take away a woman’s right to vote? And how scary this all is, yadda, yadda, yadda.

Roseanne similarly doesn’t know that the 19th amendment gave women the right to vote, and can’t just be overturned by a judge. Whereas the “right” to abortion is only there because of activist judges in the first place.

I know the Hollywood idiots are just that. But I wish they knew their history because they obviously don’t know key pieces of history when they shoot off their mouth.

"Obama is 6.25% Native African or Black

Wow. My elderly mother-in-law lives with us and is from North Africa. When she saw Barack on TV she said "He's an Arab!"

I said "No, it's just an Arab name"

She insisted "No, he's an Arab"

I said "Mom, he's black on his fathers side, he's African."

She insisted: "Look at his face..he's an Arab! maybe a little black, but he's an Arab!" followed by lots of gutteral cursings which I cannot fathom

.....I gave up in exasperation, thinking "gosh, she's prejudiced."

But now I'm wondering if maybe she's right. ----on the other hand, in the photos, Barack's dad is very dark.

Dark has nothing to do with it. Omani Arabs are dark and migrated into East Africa a long time ago. They have been slaughtering, enslaving and trafficking Native Africans since.

Slavery is not abolished nor is it exclusive to Native Africans. Slavery is still practiced right here in American as well a global issue.

If the database is back up here at FR try keyword: human trafficking

If the database is still not working right, bookmark this link. I made it a bump thread:

I’m second generation from slaves. We are not Native African either. I have slaves living next door to me, across the street from me and down the street from me.

They aren’t Native Africans either.

Your story reminded me of this old story:

In the Beginning was The Plan. And then came the Assumptions. And the Assumptions were without form. And The Plan was completely without substance.

And the darkness was upon the face of the workers. “It is a crock of shit and it stinketh.” And the workers went unto the Supervisors and sayeth, “It is a pail of dung and none may abide the odor thereof.”

And the Supervisors went unto their Managers and sayeth unto them, “It is a container of excrement and it is very strong. Such that none may abide it.”

And the Managers went unto the Directors and sayeth, “It is a vessel of fertilizer, and none may abide it.”

And the Directors went unto the Vice Presidents. And sayeth unto them, “It promotes growth, and is very powerful.”

And the Vice Presidents went unto the President. And sayeth unto him, This new Plan will actively promote the growth
And efficiency of this Company And these areas in particular.

And the President looked upon the Plan. And he saw that it was good, and the Plan became Policy.

This is how Shit Happens!

What a crock.

Both my great grandfathers were Confederate soldiers so both sides of the family were here during slavery days but they must have been too poor to afford slaves. I have only heard of two black men who share my last name and I don’t think I have ever heard of one who has my mother’s last name. The truth is that only a small minority of white southerners owned slaves, many of the poor whites were actually worse off than the average slave. There are plenty of stories about house slaves and even field hands looking down on the poor whites of the time and calling them “white trash” or other names. I am sick and tired of people who have never been slaves trying to make me feel guilty as if I myself were a slave owner today.
