If this is according to an aide, then the statement isn't parenthetical, it is hearsay.
Anyone know why? I mean, I fully support Palin, I fully support Israel, but this seems an odd thing for the governor of Alaska to say.
I don’t get it. A U.S. governor will have an American flag and state flag in his/her office. Without context I’m having trouble following the point of this article.
Other than the American flag, obviously.

Her office must have both the flag of the United States and the Alaskan flag in it. In fact IIRC both flags are prominently displayed in her office. The Israeli flag is a little 2" flag attached to the curtains.
Confusion from the Left generally means one thing.
There was a controversy among leftists and some nutty right wingers a while back that she wears an Israeli flag pin instead of an American flag to show her allegiance for AIPC.. HOWEVER, the idiots didn’t realize the pin she was wearing was a Blue Star Mom pin for her son overseas in the military.

I have seen pictures of Governor Palin in her office and she does indeed have a US flag along with an Israeli flag. This is just another gotcha story.

Wow. Thanks for that perspective, if that indeed is in play here. I guess any one person can make a mistake, but how can a group of people mistake the Blue Star flag with the Israeli flag?
