(NYSE:WM), one of the nations leading banks for consumers and small businesses, has once again been recognized as a top employer by Hispanic Business magazine and the Human Rights Campaign. **snip** The Human Rights Campaign, the largest national gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) civil rights organization, also awarded WaMu its second consecutive 100 percent score in the organizations 2009 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), which measures progress in attaining equal rights for GLBT employees and consumers. WaMu joins the ranks of 259 other major U.S. businesses that also received top marks in the annual survey. The CEI rated a total of 583 businesses on GLBT-related policies and practices, including non-discrimination policies and domestic partner benefits.

Interesting. A review of the 2007 annual report shows that the executive committee consisted of 11 white males and 1 white female.
“diversity” = not hiring the most qualified individual for a given job = racism = sexism
I was in HR for years where the almighty “diversity” was worshipped and promoted. Of course, the most diverse of employees let the others carry the load.
Maybe this financial crisis will be the beginning of the end for Polical Correctness. We simply cannot afford it.

WaMu has now become the poster-child for affirmative action hires in the Banking sector.

If half the energy that was devoted to achieving RACIAL diversity had been devoted to prudent financial management, maybe WaMu would still be solvent.
