Kissinger Says Obama Wrong on Kissinger's Position in Debate Tonight
newsbusters.org ^ | September 26, 2008 | Warner Todd Huston

Here is something that the media should focus on. In the debates tonight, Barack Obama said that even Henry Kissinger agreed with Obama that on a presidential level a diplomatic meeting with as rogue a leader as Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is a good idea. McCain immediately said that this was not true, but the issue wasn't further addressed in the debate.

Well, now Henry Kissinger himself is attempting to set the record straight. Kissinger says that Obama was wrong, McCain was right. Stephen Hayes of the Weekly Standard has a short post to this effect on his TheBlog entry.

Kissinger Unhappy About Obama

Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain. We do not agree on everything, but we do agree that any negotiations with Iran must be geared to reality."

Well, that about answers to that Obama lie.

This reply by Kissinger should find greater exposure to show that Obama really is out of his depth on foreign policy issues. Let's hope the Old Media corrects the record.

“Here is something that the media should focus on.”

The media is of course part of the Obama campaign. Why would the Obama campaign focuson Obama’s mistakes?

I suspect that we will have to correct it for them.

If a Republican candidate in a Presidential debate had just grossly mis-represented the position of the most famous living diplomat on an issue of such vital importance, in order to claim non-existent support for his own position (which position itself is in the midst of major flip-flops), the media would flay that candidate alive and the election is over. It is a measure of the depth and breadth of media bias that this will not even be a blip on the screen, or if they do feel any need to address it they will do so as apologists for the Obamanation.

BREAKING: KISSINGER REPUDIATES OBAMA'S MIS-CHARACTERIZATION OF HIS VIEWS ON IRAN AND DIPLOMACY!!!!! OBAMA HAS STEPPED IN IT BIG TIME

"Henry Kissinger believes Barack Obama misstated his views on diplomacy with US adversaries and is not happy about being mischaracterized. He says: "Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. How does Henry Kissinger have the nerve to disagree with what The One says he believes?

Doesn't he know who he's disagreeing with?

Every issue that came up, Obama said something like: “two years ago I warned the administration about this.

Bullshit.

Time and Place?

Someone on another thread claims that they believe barak got his story about Kissinger from Katie Courics interview with Sarah Palin.

Couric was telling Palin that Kissinger said it was alright to negoitate with Iran without conditions, and Sarah said she did not think Kissinger would say that.

Couric apparently said later that she talked with Kissinger and he said he had said it.

Oh,Katie your phone is ringing.

We have to Drudge stories like this.... we have to encourage Drudge to post stories we know the general media will ignore.

This is one.

“Every issue that came up, Obama said something like: “two years ago I warned the administration about this.”

Good call.
That was a missed opportunity.

I get frustrated when republicans don’t fight back when they are accused of “costing” taxpayers a certain sum of money through tax cuts.
As if the tax cuts don’t spur economic growth.

When will a republican respond “tax cuts wind up increasing revenues”...

Oh when? oh when?

He is a liar. On one point last week even the Dems said..”No you didn’t” because it made them look bad.

Like you, I want evidence of his wisdom on display.

(Of course, the msm won’t report on it.)
