GOP VP Candidate Sarah Palin To Attend Carson Rally
UPDATED: 9:43 am PDT September 26, 2008

CARSON, Calif. -- Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in Carson for a rally on Oct. 4, according to the Republican Party of Orange County.

The Alaska governor, who has drawn large and enthusiastic crowds around the country, will speak in the 13,000-seat tennis stadium at the Home Depot Center.

At first, Orange County Republican Party members wanted the event to be in Orange County, but an appearance was postponed so Palin could attend the United Nations General Assembly in New York this week.

The Saturday rally will begin at 2 p.m.

How To Get Tickets

Tickets are available by e-mailing california@johnmccain.com., or they can be picked up at McCain campaign offices at 3920 Highland Ave. in Manhattan Beach; 23211 Hawthorne Blvd. in Torrance; and at 550 Deep Valley Drive., Suite 359, in Rolling Hills.

I don’t understand why they are wasting the time in a
state that can’t be won by a republican. It’s down to the wire and everyday is crucial. From what I see in polls , they need to be in VA NC OH MIchigan , Missouri , Penn
and MINN. Over and Over again.

Only 15 minutes from our place. I’m going with a couple conservo friends. Should be good. This neck of So. Cal is more Repub leaning than other pockets of LA County.

> Whoa. Campaigning in California.

I was going to ask “Why? Campaigning in California”

I don’t get it. They haven’t a prayer of winning, unless they are merely seeking campaign contributions.

Probably more of a fund-raising exercise, but I like the fact that McCain-Palin is campaigning in CA. Wonder if they’ve got any prayer there...

They should hold this in the big stadium at Carson. I’m sure she could draw 50,000+ in SoCal. That image would have a huge political impact on the state.

I repeat a statement made in another thread: Does this look like someone who is ready to be removed as the VP candidate like the leftist slugs want you to believe? Apparently this is Sarah without McCain. Does anyone look scared? YES. The scared ones are the scuzbag RATS because they have no answer for Sarah except to smear her, which backfired on them, but they are too friggin’ stupid to realize. The potential crowd for this is enormous.

Go Sarah!

So happy she’s coming here.

I cannot believe the attacks she is getting by the MSM.

It is the bloodlust of the Romans as she is being thrown to the lions.

HANG IN THERE SARAH. WE KNOW IT IS ALL LIES.

Lord bless and keep her.

I have no idea. I'm on the right coast. Why not just show up? The worst they can do is let you stand in the crowd watching Sarah arrive and drive away. Have your own rally outside!

We went. It was great fun. There were a lot of Obomiac protesters outside, including one with a “Free O.J.” sign. I just waved and smiled at them.

John Voight, Bill Jones and a few others spoke. It was overcast until the moment Palin came out on stage. Then the sun came out (or was it just her radiance :-)

She was introduced by the Vice-president of the L.A. chapter of N.O.W., a life-long Dem. Bet she lost a few friends!

Sarah gave her, mostly standard, but very good speech. One of her best lines was something like this.

I looked at the quote on my Starbucks cup this morning. It was from Madeleine Albright. “There’s a special place in hell for women who don’t support other women.”

All in all it was a good time. The tennis stadium was packed and the crowd was very enthusiastic. Glad I went!
