I know the date and location of this video so no need to track it down. I KNOW where it is in triplicate. So is someone out there near Vanderbilt who can pick them up (get all three networks)? BTW, the fact that it was on all three networks at the time gives you a clue as to how over the top Biden acted. Usually you don’t see extended clips of Senate committee hearings.

DUnno but a transcript although revealing does not even come near to capturing the unbelievable petulance and bizarre facial expressions of Biden. Plus his mannerisms like waving around and slamming down some papers. This is something that must be SEEN to fully appreciate. Think of it as an extended Captain Queeg moment.

However, since this video also appeared on all three major networks at the time, ABC, NBC, and CBS, it is also at the Vanderbilt University News Archive. Therefore, I am asking anybody interested (which is probably quite a few of you), especially in the Nashville area, to go to those newscast archives and obtain a copy of the newscasts on the major networks for July 23, 1986. Your jaws will drop when you actually see the video. Oh, and let me know when you get the video because I will see that it gets as much online dissemination as possible.

I told you its not there any more. I called up the C-SPAN archives and the woman there said they had it and even gave me the ID#. I passed this info up the food chain but then it turned out the video really ended up in the National Archives where nobody can seem to find it.
