With all the turmoil in financial markets in the wake of a defeated federal government bailout package, hyperbole is running at high levels.

Take former presidential candidate Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass. Kerry appeared on FOX News Channel’s Sept. 29 “The O’Reilly Factor” and commended House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for her efforts garnering Democratic votes in the House. He lambasted the Republicans members for not voting ‘yes’ on the proposed $700 billion bailout.

“Let me tell you something. She [Pelosi] summoned a supermajority,” Kerry said. “Sixty percent plus voted for this. The Republicans had a super-supermajority – almost veto proof – 66 percent voted against it today.”

The junior Massachusetts senator accused the Republicans who voted against the bailout of “screwing” certain components of the American economy.

I guess that’s why the cowards in the senate postponed their vote until after the House, because they are so brave and committed they wanted to see which way the wind was blowing before they made their opinions heard. Hey John Kerry - when will you release your military service records like you said you would?

The only way John Kerry ever sees Main Street is from behind the tinted windows of his limousine.

Yep, we had ETs kidnap 95 rat congressits and remove their liberal brains to vote against the bailout.

John, boy, when are you going to realize that you are a very stupid liar. When you lie, the internet exposes your latest lie in seconds.

"With $165,400, Sen. Dodd also tops the list of members of Congress who took campaign cash from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac since 1989.
Sen. Barack Obama, the self-styled agent of change, is a distant second at $126,000 and Sen. John Kerry is third at $111,000.

The Democrats and the media are out spinning the GOP.

The election will be close so perhaps they will be effective. My disappointment is that most Gopers are stting on their hands, out of the game.

“Also passed the blame on Republicans for not getting anything done last 8 years.
When confronted with why they have not done anything the last 2 years he said they needed 60% majority and Republicans block everything. Based on his logic would that not be true when the Republicans controlled the Senate the previous two terms.”

Kerry was rambling like the village idiot. 60% majorities are meaningless in this discussion. The President was for this bill. There is no veto threat. Yes, there is a filibuster threat in the Senate but that is meaningless at this point. The Senate under Harry Reid's great leadership doesn't yet have a bill... This was just more of everything is Bush’s fault and we Democrats are victims of the dumbest President in history. Asshat Inc.

Hey Kerry, wanna explain how 40% of your own party was against it?

"UH, they were for it before they voted against it?"

What do I win?

The only “guy on Main Street” Jean-Claude knows is the paper boy.

The only Americans Kerry found an excuse to ‘screw’ were heiresses or rich widows.
