Unless there are rules I’m not familiar with, it looks like that when they couldn’t get the Bailout past the Representives, who are closer to the People’s concerns than the Senate, they are trying out this scam in the House of Lords.
All in all, Alabama has the best Conservative Senators in the country. I wish I could say the same for Ohio.

Does the senate have to vote 60-40 to pass the bill, or just a simple majority, 51-49?
If it were something the Republicans wanted, it would require 60 votes. If it is something the Democrats want, it only requires a simple majority. I hope that clears it up.

I have never had a problem and I have given ever since I began to post...in 2003.
Even though I joined in 2001 and was here online close to the very start.
I am alerted every month by email, about a week or more before, as to the date they charge my account.
Which is around the 3rd of the month. And I use a debit card. I don’t “do” checks anymore. ;-)
