I really have to laugh when polls and pundits find the debate was a draw, and give Palin credit for not destroying herself.

The real issue here is that when ‘they’ say that they lean toward or say that Biden won, ——— is that a man of 30+ years Washington experience only ‘drew’ with an outsider with 5 weeks experience!!!

With all his knowledge and experience, he only had a draw with a newbie!!!???

Hah. No, just having a self-chuckle at the Mom’s expense. Heck, it’s all I can do to keep the “inside folks” from suspending me, some days...

In her next interview, I think she’s going to be far more relaxed and “herself.” I agree that she was overprepped when she faced Gibson and Couric. Some pundits were downing her interview with Hannity — I could see she was still sounding a bit rehearsed, but nothing like the other two.

Some pundits were downing her interview with Hannity — I thought overall she did fine when she sat down with him. Granted, I could see she was still sounding a bit rehearsed, but nothing like the other two interviews. It makes a difference when interviewers don’t play “gotcha.”

Where was this woman during her interview with Katie Couric? On the editing room floor, you doofus! The McCain campaign should release her full answers to Couric/Gibson, and contrast them to the snippets we were shown. Media Malpractice, that's what's happening here.

This has to be a real challenge for a NY Times writer to have to accept Sarah did a great job in the debate. Granted, Brooks is the token “conservative (yeah, right),” but the fact the editorial staff allowed complimentary words about her onto the Times is proof she had an undeniably positive impact.

I think it is clled projection? That is exactly what the liberals were doing so therefore we must’ve been doing the same thing. The they all got onlien and decided it was a “tie” and not a win for Sarah. They are soooo transparent.

Let’s try again:

I think it is called projection? That is exactly what the liberals were doing so therefore we must’ve been doing the same thing. Then they all got online and decided it was a “tie” and not a win for Sarah. They are soooo transparent.

"Just as the midcentury psychologist Abraham Maslow predicted, Republicans watching the debate had a hierarchy of needs. First, they had a need for survival. Was this woman capable of completing an extemporaneous paragraph — a collection of sentences with subjects, verbs, objects and, if possible, an actual meaning?"

This is too much. Neocon psychobabble in The New York Times. A Woody Allen movie is coming to life. Let's hope someone analyzes Obama's and liberals' needs in Third Force and transpersonal terms. The campaign needs a critical companion.

"Hegel, call your office..."

I agree, Biden looked nearly smitten... or was it the cosmetic tape on either side of his temples that made him look that way?

However, Glenn Beck said something last night that gave me nightmares..

McCain — Mr. No Earmarks — voted for the Bailout Bill? How is this possible?

Go Sarah. Go Sarah and go to Michigan. You may have to fight McCain, too.

And I liked McCain before his bailout vote...

Brooks is the token Republican/conservative at the New York Times, rather like William Safire in years past. Of course, he's not dependably Republican, and even less a conservative, but he seems to be the the closest thing to a voice of reason the paper has.

This is about as good a column as we can expect from the Times. You can almost sense the pain emanating from the editorial offices.

"Thursday night she spoke like a normal person."

What an uninformed and provincial statement to make!

Just goes to show that Brooks and his ilk are so isolated from normal Americans that they cannot comprehend the meaning of the word.

Brooks and much of the media are trapped in their own little time and place, with little contact with the vast real world out here where "normal" is Sarah Palin!

Won't this all make a wonderful movie someday?

I hope she is keeping a diary on an encrypted thumb drive.
