HILLARY CLINTON, Barack Obama’s defeated opponent in the Democratic primary, has infuriated his supporters by praising Sarah Palin, the Republican vice-presidential candidate, for her performance in last week’s television debate.
“It is amazing, you know, she’s been thrust in the spotlight with very little national preparation and I think, all things considered, you saw a very composed and effective debater,” Clinton said.
Her husband Bill recently issued some compliments of his own. “I come from Arkansas, I get why she’s hot out there,” he said.
Her husband’s lukewarm endorsement of Obama was parodied on Saturday Night Live, the satirical show that has become must-see television after the deadly accurate portrayals of Palin by Tina Fey, the comedian.

The last is that the dirty tricks the Clinton camp always used, were used against them. They got treated the way Republicans usually get treated. Called racists, sexist attacks and so forth. There are hurt feelings over it. And resentment.

Far too many qualifiers.

In the first place, all it would take to make hillary furious was just the fact that Obama knocked her out of the race.
Add to that that he probably cheated in a number of states. (Well, she cheated too, but she’s entitled.)
Add to that that it’s a real question whether he would have gotten a majority of delegates at the convention if he hadn’t played the race card.
She waited her whole life for this, and Obama stole it from her.
You are correct...it’s much more than the money.....Bill and Hillary hate the chosen one with the heat of 1000 suns.

i did not read that as an insult, altho’ i understand that it’s one interpretation.
i took it as fact.
it is a fact that sarah has only recently come onto the national stage.
she has had less preparation than almost anyone in washington d.c. pulic life.

I thought the same thing in the primaries when Ted Kennedy came out in support of Obama, fairly early on. I told a co-worker, "That right there tells me Hilary is going down -- there is no way on earth Ted (or anyone), with the skeletons in his closet, would dare cross the Clintons, unless she had become a defanged tiger."

I feel your pain. To be fair, Sarah is the woman Hillary wanted to be before she went to the dark side. The Goldwater Girl could have been a contender 'till she met the likes of Bill. Temptation got the best of her and it was downhill from there.
It seems really hard to believe, but I think this is Hilary reading the tea leaves and privately expecting Obama to lose. Otherwise, she wouldn’t dare say something like that in public.

I seriously think that the Clintons love America but that they love themselves even more.
0bama however, hates America. And that’s where the difference lies between Bambi and Clintons.
I don’t know what the split is in the dem party between hillary and obama but I read where she actually won the popular vote to be the presidential nominee.
If the sentiments of her supporters are that accurately represented by that website, the dems have lost more than half their votes.
We can only hope that as more about obama comes to light, this will increase.
I clicked on the youtube link of why obama should not be president and there were clips of Giuliani speaking against him.
Hopefully, more people will listen. It’s one thing for the Republicans to make comments about him like that; people expect it. But maybe the fact that they are dems themselves will give them more credibility and finally make people take notice and really think about what they’re voting for.
I’ll admit...i have sat here in my house in total amazement at their comments.
They actually are voting “18 million” strong for McCain /Palin.
