Thanks, Ann Coulter. Sorry if I misspelled Ken Lanes's name.

I don't know who's job it is to check those speech-to-text technology transcripts, but they're not doing their job.

It's me that's anti-McCain.

I think Ann Coulter really likes Palin, and so do I.

But McCain's on the top of the ticket, so I'm the one who's voting for Bob Barr.

She was taking that position but is now alarmed by the prospects of an Obama presidency and what it would do to the country. She’s a little hopped up about that now. With good reason.

ANN COULTER: [play from 4:32] " this was liberal Democrat political correctness that, that created this disaster of the bad mortgages "

Absolutely.

Republicans need to (casually) refer to this as

The DEMron Scandal

The Democrats will object of course....but the truth needs to be spread in a simple way.

Let Barney Frank sputter in indignation.

Democrats betrayed the public trust.

Ann Coulter's right on the money here. Unfortunately, most of the media doesn't have the "intestinal fortitude" to speak the truth on this matter. Giving loans to deadbeats is guaranteed to cause financial troubles, as evidenced by today's situation.

BTW, how did this thread morph into a discussion of Ann Coulter's voting position? That's a separate issue that perhaps deserves its own thread.

ah the spigot, faucet debate.

In South Jersey a spigot is found on the outside of the house, a faucet is on the inside of the house.

I think her position now is that of pragmatic conservatism and realism. "Better the devil you know," etc.

In an election between a Republican who is not conservative enough for personal taste and a tax&spend socialist who follows the radical Marxist community organizer agitation theory of Saul Alinsky, you take the Republican.

Well, Ann's earlier warnings about McCain may come back. They haven't won yet. If we wake up with Obama as president in November, the pundits will be trying to sort things out and assign blame: either McCain was a weak candidate, Palin's negatives, the economy, or the MSM in the tank pushing the Obama propaganda, etc. That kind of thing. Whatever happens, the next president has to deal with the economic mess.

Ann should focus on the weirdness and insanity of Obama's Far Left associations.

Well, at least we tried to warn our fellow Americans. They need to put some Republicans on television to make speeches , making the case for McCain and against Obama. Thompson for the base and Giuliani for Florida, probably.

YES! And Liberman in Florida, Mit in Michigan, Palin...well she needs to go to every state...how many days are left???

My big concern is the collage students and ACORN'S fraudulent registrations. There are far too many voters this election that are voting style over substance. It is an absolute shame.Obama shouldn't even be in the Senate, let alone the White House.

"You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children this, the last best hope of man on Earth, or we will sentence them to take the last step into a thousand years of darkness." - Ronald Reagan, "A Time for Choosing," 1964

That's how Reagan really jumped on to center stage, making his classic, definitive "A Time for Choosing"/"Rendezvous with Destiny" speech for Goldwater in '64, jumpstarting the conservative movement. They need something similar for McCain.

"A Time for Choosing" Reagan '64 (transcript)

Someone like Hannity should run clips just of the Reagan speech for historical perspective on how a good media strategy can launch conservatism. Fred Thompson would be good for a live, televised campaign speech. He's got the right affect, stage presence, stature, and speaking voice.

'Less we forget...

And y'all still don't understand why conservatives won't support McCain???

When the GOP or McCain ask for money to support McCain, print and send them one of these.
