Aaron Katz, who for more than 50 years relentlessly and publicly sought the exoneration of Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, the central figures in the nations most controversial spying case, died on Sept. 28 in Venice, Fla. He was 92 and lived in North Port, Fla.
The death was confirmed by his wife, Cynthia.
Mr. Katz was director of the National Committee to Reopen the Rosenberg Case for 42 years, repeatedly leading demonstrations outside the federal courthouse on Foley Square in Manhattan on the anniversary of the couples execution in Sing Sings electric chair on June 19, 1953. They had been found guilty of conspiring to give the Soviets atomic bomb secrets.
Mr. Katz was the director of the group, originally called the Committee to Secure Justice in the Rosenberg Case, from 1963 to 2005. He had been active with the committee since the early 1950s.
Year after year, on or about the execution date, Mr. Katz organized a picket line outside the courthouse, calling for a new investigation into the conviction of the Rosenbergs and their friend Morton Sobell. The Rosenbergs and Mr. Sobell were found guilty in 1951 on charges of conspiring to deliver classified military and industrial information to the Soviet Union.

They were named in the VENONA documents, I believe.
Game, set, match, guilty.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
You know how Communist Democrats lie.
Obama’s probably making plans to attend the funeral.....
Oh wait a minute...Sep. 28? well, I should have said maybe Obama DID attend.....
And the Rosenberg children are here following in the footsteps of their parents.
They were guilty as hell but the left STILL defend these traitors, let’s see Obama defend himself against this.
How about Obama openly campaigning for his communist cousin Odinga who signed a pact with Muslims to enact Sharia Law if elected and started riots when he lost. Obama campaigned for an openly Anti-American candidate in a foreign country in 2006.
Mr. Sobell served more than 18 years in prison, and for years Mr. Katz worked to clear his name. But last month Mr. Sobell, 91, after maintaining his innocence for 57 years, admitted that he and Julius Rosenberg had been spies for the Soviets during World War II, when the Soviets were allies of the United States.
On Tuesday, Mrs. Katz said she had not told her husband of Mr. Sobells admission.
The Rosenbergs were guilty as hell. End of story.
Red diaper babies.
Must be tough to die knowing the main cause in your life was a total lie.
In related news, the Rosenbergs are STILL guilty of espionage on behalf of the Soviet Union.
Well, I give the man credit: he was true to his convictions, however wrong they may have been, and it’s tragic that the people he was defending weren’t worthy of his efforts. But high marks for character.
Venonoa nailed them for the traitors they were, and Martin Sobol, their attorney, friend, and arch defender said recently that he and Jules were both spies in the service of stalin and his workers’ paradise.....
Prayers for a profoundly misguided individual.
