What's most stunning here is not that illegals commit crimes at a greater rate than their percentage of the population.

The fact that illegals comprise 9% (e.g., 1 in 11 people) is the mind-blowing statistic. ONE IN ELEVEN! Think what this has done to our schools, our social services, not to mention our fury over having to "press one for English."

Frankly, I don't think any of us would be that excited if illegals committed crimes at the same rate, but only comprised 0.5% of the population.

How about Obama openly campaigning for his communist cousin Odinga who signed a pact with Muslims to enact Sharia Law if elected and started riots when he lost. Obama campaigned for an openly Anti-American candidate in a foreign country in 2006 at taxpayer expense.

Isn't the detailed back and forth on Illegal Immigration, the visibility it is being given in the debates, the level the mass media is covering it in the General Election, Sarah Palin's many references to it on the campaign trail, just wonderful!?

I never thought we could elevate it to this level of visibility for the people to really have it as a key election issue in 2008.
