Nope. In the Couric interview Sarah brought up two instances herself without being asked and then Katie pulled the “besides those” trick when asking the question. Sarah gave her the same answer twice and then, unlike she did with Gibson on the third try she gave the “get back to you” answer. I watched it all and thats exactly what happened.
OK... I’ve got to disagree with this thread. Major Garrett has been assigned to the Obama campaign. He’s suppose to report on the Obama campaign’s reaction to daily events — or what they’re putting out. He is supposed to be putting his spin on things although he at times will interpret and comment on aspects of the campaign and different stories.
Regarding the panel, I agree it’s frustrating when you have a completely incoherent Fred Barnes representing “the right”. Fred really is stuck on stupid. Perhaps he feels a need to be “balanced” when he should know that he’s going to be balanced by Mara and Juan anytime they are on with him.
But your critique of Brit is why I posted this reply. When Brit is the host, he doesn’t let his opinion be displayed. I’m sure he would have liked to have cuffed Fred for his stupidity. But he’s going to let Mara and Juan have their say. He may challenge — and I think there was a little bit of that — but today was a lost cause. Brit may also be getting discouraged by the polls... and the stock market... and the economic news... all that favor that Empty Suit of Empty Suits, the One, the Only... I can’t bring myself to type it.
They should put someone like Bill Sammon on the panel. He's an extremely attractive (if I may say so) and well spoken conservative. I would have liked to see someone like him utilized more and not wasted...maybe moderate the debates, or even go into politics.
Um, Brit Hume was AWOL. Mara Liasson spewed an Obama talking points lie and there was even time enough for stupid Fred to agree with it, and Brit sat mute. I’ve seen him confront Juanbama Williams on FOX News Sunday with Chris Wallace, why did he let that blatant lie just float right on by like turd in the punchbowl?
If tomorrow McCain is up in the Polls, these clowns will then say "They knew it all along", now lets see how we can help Obama get the numbers back, what does he have to do to do that. Let's help him. They remind me of sports casters when a team is down they bad mouth, then when that team makes a winning score, "I knew it all the time, don't ever underestimate that playes ability"
They play both sides. The only thing left on Fox is Hannity.
Garret just two days ago, spewed an Obama talking points lie about Sarah Palin, but he was called on it and made a half-assed retraction. I don’t see Mara’s blatant lie being corrected. Soemthing is very fishy with that one.

On FoxNews Sunday, Brit is a member of the panel and he’s expected to voice his opinion. And, as we all know, he delights in taking Juan to the woodshed.
When he is the moderator/host, he plays it fair and balanced. After all, he’s the Managing Director of the channel and he’s a true class act. We’ll miss him after this year when he heads off into retirement.
Perhaps Yuri Bezmenov could explain what happened to Major Garrett...

Watch the Katie Couric interview and Couric asked a trick question : “Besides John McCain’s call for more regulation, of Fannie Mae, can you name any other times he called for further regulation?”
There is something we have to accept and that is that FOX News is a NEWS channel primarily. It is not a right wing TV show like Rush or Hannity is. As a NEWS channel, FOX is obligated to report ALL of the news.
As such Major Garrett is ASSIGNED to the Obama campaign. It is his job to report what Obama says and does, and I think he is doing a terrific job because he also goes beyond what any such reporter on any of the other networks do and he also tells the other half of the story like he did today when he pointed out that McCain had been exonerated of all charges in the Keating Five scandal.
FOX is not perfect but we are lucky we have it. Where else could Sean Hannity have a program like he does? Where else do you find anything even close to fair and balanced?
Griping about it like I have seen here lately will cause people to feel there is no difference between FOX and MSNBC for instance and some of those people are going to then go watch MSNBC and be totally lost to any truth that may be out there.
I think a little more positive attitude and perhaps even a little thanks could be employeed. Maybe if they are thanked when they do well they will do more well.
I agree. I love Major and I think most of the complaints I read about him on Free Republic are just because most of us hate to hear anyone report on Obama because he is getting to be just unbearable. IMO, I think Major is much more conservative than is Carl Cameron and I think that is why FOX switched them up this year. Before Major’s time, Carl always reported on the Democrat candidate and I was always thinking the same about him. I heard Major’s report tonight and it sounded like “just the facts, Ma’am”.

He is so correct, I have been telling my kids many of these same things, it is as Hitler wanted just give him the kids and he will succeed.
Well, most of America has fallen for this in the school system we have today, and they want to start the schools earlier. Many parents don't care what their children view or listen too. It is a gradual brainwashing until it becomes the norm, then on to the next generation. Our enemy is very patient
Most people just don't want to go against the grain, don't rock the social boat, go along to get along. These are the weak useful idiots. Then when things go really bad they will want you and I to help them, too late.
It is very hard for a lot of people to be raising their children in this world today.

Then if and when they are allowed, have about 3 or 4 conservatives talk loudly over them and laugh and ridicule them. Now that would be Fair and BALANCED to me.
