San Francisco (AP) -- The words "bride" and "groom" will reappear on all marriage license applications issued in California starting next month, state health officials said.
In a notice posted on its Web site, the California Department of Public Health says it is making the change because many couples still wanted the option of identifying themselves in traditional terms.
When same-sex marriage became legal in the state on June 16, the health department issued new gender-neutral marriage forms with the words "Party A" and "Party B" where "bride" and "groom" used to be.

Does this mean that, if a lesbian couple gets married, one of them has to be the man? And that with two men going in there, one of them has to swear to be the wife?

There was a thread here a couple of days ago about a couple in California who wrote in “bride” and “groom” on their form, and had it returned on the grounds that that had invalidated it.
BINGO! They don’t want Prop 8 to pass. After Prop 8 loses, they will reinstate “Party A and Party B” — or junk that and go straight to “Species A and Species B” (credit to “itsthejourney”).

THIS IS A SCAM to try to take advantage of some state’s liberal divorce laws. Where a “gay” couple can get “divorced” through deception and without appearance in other states. That way they can say the state recognized their “gay” marriage.
This is the next front in the leftist, democrat, liberal attack on marriage. Mark my words... This is no accident.
