What If Obama Loses?
Newsweek ^ | 27 September 2008 | Allison Samuels

Posted on 10/06/2008 8:32:39 PM PDT by Terrence DoGood

Racism, naturally, plays a part in the conversation. "I've never forgotten that he is a smart, articulate black man with a smart, articulate black wife," says Linda Wright, 34, a nurse's assistant from Houston."You think white people were just going to turn over the keys to the most important job in the land without a fight?" The overriding feeling is apprehension, a vague fear of losing something people thought was theirs to keep. "My kids love Obama and they think it's so obvious he should be the president," says actor D. L. Hughley. "I was just honest in saying life isn't always fair and certainly isn't always fair for African-Americans. But Obama has overcome so many obstacles, it's easy to forget reality."

There's not a lot of anger—yet—but you can start to sense the potential for it. "I'm going to be mad, real mad, if he doesn't win," says Daetwon Fisher, 21, a construction worker from Long Beach, Calif. "Because for him to come this far and lose will be just shady and a slap in black people's faces. I know there is already talk about protests and stuff if he loses, and I'm down for that."

This scenario is why we have the 2nd Amendment

If Obama loses, we will see an implosion on the left. The American left is so invested in victory this year, that an Obama loss means a devastation of the progressive (socialist) wing of Democrat party, which would likely lead to a power struggle within the party, and thus a split, rendering the Democrat party unviable in national elections for a period of time.

Imagine what would have happened to the conservative movement in this country had Ronald Reagan lost to Jimmy Carter? We may have never recovered. Newt and the class of 1994 probably would never have happened.

This is primarily the reason why I want McCain win. It’s not because I like McCain, it’s because I despise Obama, and his defeat means the defeat of the American Left which will be felt for several election cycles going forward.

As far as Daetwon (where do these names come from?) goes, getting close only counts, as the old saying goes, in horseshoes and hand grenades.

Whether he wins or loses, there will be violence. If he wins, there will be lots of “payback” for generations of perceived ills against those of the darker persuasion, taken out against people who may have had nothing to do with it.

It doesn’t matter if Obama wins or loses. A segment of the population will feel it’s their right to riot either way. Lose, then they’ll blame it on racism. Win, Obama will look the other way while rioters “celebrate.” Let the looting begin! /s

C’mon. Riot. Do it. Yeah. Big time. We need readers. Give us a riot and lots of dramatic pictures about a nation being torn apart. You can do it. We won't give you any bad press. You're standing up for your rights. We've been promoting your guy non-stop, so if he doesn't win, it must mean DISENFRANCHISEMENT by the MAN! It's cool, we won't tell nobody! Riot, baby, riot! Mmmm mmm! I can feel it!

I wonder about what happens election night?

I’ve heard rumors that police in some major cities are making plans for the possibility of violence, just in case. I bet nobody will say anything on the record, but you can imagine them being at a state of alert, or emergency, or whatever the term is. And pray to God that nothing will happen.

I would worry the most if it’s a close election, because then the lawsuits and Jessie Jackson fraud charges will be out there. Jessie Jackson may not understand the power of words, but a few select words by people like him or Al Sharpton could incite a riot.

What an excellent question! Yeah, I’m betting on riots if he loses, but I’d rather have that than the socialist “paradise” Obama intends to create.

And, it really doesn’t matter if we say we are voting our principles, because many folks on the left are already convinced we’re racists. If Obama loses, they will respond in the typical leftist fashion.

I am not worried about this so I will nitpick and a statement made.

“You think white people were just going to turn over the keys to the most important job in the land without a fight?”

We know that the White House has Marine Guards. Do you think they have locks on the door?

I found this story while checking some facts.

One sunny day in 2009, an old man approached the White House from across Pennsylvania Avenue , where he’d been sitting on a park bench.

He spoke to the Marine standing guard and said, “I would like to go in and meet with President Barack Obama.”

The Marine replied, “Sir, Mr. Obama is not President and doesn”t reside here.”

The old man said, “Okay,” and walked away. The following day, the same man approached the White House and said to the same Marine, “I would like to go in and meet with President Barack Obama.”

The Marine again told the man, “Sir, as I said yesterday, Mr. Obama is not President and doesn’t reside here.” The man thanked him and again walked away.

The third day, the same man approached the White House and spoke to the very same Marine, saying “I would like to go in and meet with President Barack Obama.”

The Marine, understandably agitated at this point, looked at the man and said, “Sir, this is the third day in a row you have been here asking to speak to Mr. Obama. I’ve told you already several times that Mr. Obama is not the President and doesn’t reside here. Don”t you understand?”

The old man answered, “Oh, I understand you fine. I just love hearing your answer!”

The Marine snapped to attention, saluted, and said, “See you tomorrow.”

If Obama loses, I fear that it wont be the civil unrest from black America that we will have to worry about.
It occurred to me last night after watching several internet videos on Obama’s muslim and islamic/marxist ties that I started wondering if Bush really deserves all the credit for the fact that America has not suffered any terrorist attacks since 9/11. I’m starting to wonder now if the election of Barack Hussein Obama IS the counter-attack we’ve been expecting, and that his defeat will spell instant terror cell activation.

Just a thought...

There’s only one Obama sign in my neighborhood. There are two cautious Darcy Burner signs (she’s challenging Dave Reichert for Congress) from the usual liberal neighbors, but just the one lonely Obama sign.

Usually these two neighbors litter their yard with signs of every democrat running for everything from president to the PTA. This year, nothing.

So let them riot. The rest of us are armed.

I hope you are joking about burning down the cities. There are still some burned out areas in cities such as Detroit and Newark that experienced race riots in the ‘60s. 40 years later and some of those areas are still bombed out. If we see widespread rioting, some of those areas will be gone for a generation before being rebuilt.
