NAIROBI, Kenya (AP) - The American author of a controversial book accusing Barack Obama of seething with "black rage" and of being unfit for the U.S. presidency was kicked out of Kenya on Tuesday.
The deportation of Jerome Corsi came just hours before he was to launch his book in a country where the U.S. Democratic candidate for president is wildly popular.
Corsi, who wrote "The Obama Nation: Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality," was detained at immigration headquarters in Nairobi for not having a work permit before being ordered to leave Kenya, said Joseph Mumira, head of criminal investigations at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
Corsi was scheduled to leave on an evening flight to London, Mumira said. Airport officials would not allow journalists access to Corsi at the airport and a message left on his mobile phone was not returned.
A spokesman for Obama said the campaign had no comment on the deportation.
Obama's Kenyan uncle, Said Obama, said he was unaware of Corsi's detention and had no comment. A government spokesman did not return calls for comment.
In the past, the Obama campaign has called Corsi a bigot peddling rehashed lies to hurt Obama in the U.S. presidential race against Republican Sen. John McCain. The best-selling book, released earlier in the United States, collects false rumors and distortions to portray Obama as a secret radical who cannot be trusted....."

Sure, he wasn’t going to sell many books in Kenya - going there was a publicity move. This may be an unexpected outcome, but it’s still publicity.
I wonder if he managed to get the $1,000 to Obama’s brother.

Corsi’s overarching agenda probably included researching Obama.
I tried to put some of those links on here but they were blocked for what I would call censorship.
Actually he was shrewd to do this. The government of Kenya would have to be stupid to allow any harm to come to Corsi. That would hurt Obama. The only danger would be if some crazed Obama fan got him and I am sure they kept he well away from that.
The blatant lies have come from Obama and his sycophant media.
I don’t think it was just a publicity stunt. He was there researching the Obama-Odinga connection, and somebody didn’t want that rock turned over.
Pity we can’t deport the subject of his book.

Yes he is lucky he got out alive. Too bad Obama’s brother didn’t get his check. Bet they don’t want him talking to anyone either possible about where his brother was born.
I didn’t say “purely” or “stunt.” (What’s the point of phrasing one’s posts careful, if people are just going to make up their own version?) However, the article said he was in Kenya to promote his book on Obama. Sales there seem unlikely to repay the cost of the trip, so I think it’s fair to say it was done largely for publicity, to promote sales in the U.S.
However, he certainly might have been intending to do research, as well.
If he was smart, immediately after he recorded anything, Corsi should have sent a copy of the info on its way out of the country.
I thought he was there to interview Obama’s half brother.
It was my understanding that Corsi was in Kenya looking for possible evidence of an Obambi Kenyan birth certificate.

Fascism came to the US before, through the Democratic party. Woodrow Wilson turned law enforcement agencies on anyone who voiced disagreement with his handling of the Great War, blocked newspapers he didn't like from public access, and even put the socialist party presidential candidate in jail. While the courts and successive Republican presidents undid most of his work, the U.S. had clearly slipped into fascism under a moralistic, liberal Wilson.
What Obama wants to do is nothing new. The idea of forcing your virtue on people by removing the voices of their dissent is an alluring thought to many a self-righteous tyrant.
Joe Farah confirmed as much this morning. Megan Kelly said it was reported he was there to sell books and Farah told her, really who would go to Kenya to sell books? LOL

Around 1979 Obama started college at Occidental in California. He is very open about his two years at Occidental, he tried all kinds of drugs and was wasting his time but, even though he had a brilliant mind, did not apply himself to his studies. 'Barry' (that was the name he used all his life) during this time had two roommates, Muhammad Hasan Chandoo and Wahid Hamid, both from Pakistan. During the summer of 1981, after his second year in college, he made a 'round the world' trip. It's not really all that surprising that when he publicizes the fact that he's flaunting their immigration laws that he gets deported.
Getting deported probably gives him even better publicity on a low budget since he ends up cutting his trip short, so it works out well for him.
I had not seen that information, either. I do recall reading that he had visited Pakistan during his college years; this explains why.

No, not optimistic. Can’t worry about that too much. It will be dragged out past the election, I reckon. Berg’s track record ain’t too good. But I wish him well on this one. Nevertheless, it’s good to keep in the public eye as much as possible.
