Call Off the Pit Bull
Washington Compost ^ | Kathleen Parker

Posted on 10/07/2008 10:51:35 PM PDT by Chet 99

When Sarah Palin said she was taking off the gloves, she wasn't just whistling "Onward, Christian Soldiers."

Or was she?

In the wake of the vice presidential debate, Palin has trained her moose-hunting sights on bigger trophies -- Barack Obama and the media.

In Colorado a few days ago, she told fans that Obama pals around with terrorists. Later in Clearwater, Fla., resplendent in white against a backdrop of red, white and blue, she said, "This is not a man who sees America the way that you and I see America, as the greatest source for good in this world. I'm afraid this is someone who sees America as imperfect enough to work with a former domestic terrorist who had targeted his own country."

Yes, McCain should just roll over and die already, and allow the messiah to be crowned ruler of the world.

Great article. In summary:

“Sarah Palin speaks the language of Republicans. They respond in droves.”

Who is to say the guy who allegedly said “Sit down boy!” to the black cameraman wasn’t a Democrat plant?

My money says he was.

I just love it when people use phrases like “cri de coeur!” It’s their way of showing that, one, they know another language, and two, watch out, they know how to use it! /s

Give it uuuuuup, Ms. Parker. We know you don’t like Gov. Palin, she’s so beneath you. Cast your vote for Obama, then, we know you want to!

Dear Kathleen Parker:

This is not the first time I’ve emailed you and based on your recent columns, I don’t think this message will be the last.

“One Palin supporter shouted an epithet at an African-American soundman and said, ‘Sit down, boy.’ McCain may want to call off his pit bull before this war escalates.”

Thanks for making this about one comment by some random “boy”-chatterer at an event. You have no idea the level of hatred or disdain that people like me encounter online via Facebook and professional social networking every day. As a conservative, pro-life, little government female I am assaulted daily online. Not in the random crowd attack, but in the personal attack of people who know who I am and where I come from. The fact that some random person in a crowd says something you deem politically incorrect is not the issue. The issue is the over correctness of the politically correct.

There is a lessoned to be learned here. If you wish to become president of the United States, do not hang around with terrorists. And if you do, well by golly, expect it to be brought up.

Don’t start none, won’t be none (or something like that)

Peggy’s been around Washington way too long. She’s adapted Galapagos-style to the place.

As for Kathleen, she gets all bent out of shape because someone calls a black guy “boy”, without even considering that he may not have meant it in a racial fashion, or that he may have been a plant. meanwhile, Obambi associates with people who ranted for decades against honkies and whitey, who praised the Manson killings, who posed for photos stomping the American flag, and who are unrepentant terrorists. Yet Kathleen’s all bent out of shape over some stranger who yelled something at a Palin rally.

She must be auditioning for a job at NBC.

Parker has jumped the shark. The nonsequitur between the mention of Ayers and the 2000 slur about McCain’s girl means that she buys the Obama line. Write her off as anyone worth listening to.

Of course, at bottom what we discover is a snob.

Here ya go Kathleen, the connecting-of-the-dots:

Ayers procured a Muslim gentleman, a member of the Black Panthers, who then raised money from prominent African Americans, to send Obama to Harvard law school. Barack obtained summer employment and employment upon graduation through Ayers and his wife. Barack served as director of a community organization founded by Ayers, and on another board with him. Ayers than introduced Barack to Chicago's political class and held Barack’s first fundraiser for Illinois State Senate, in his home. Bernadette Dhorn (Sp?), introduced Barack to one of her classmates who then introduced him to Tony Rezko, who put a 125,000 down on the 500,000 home Barack purchased.

This is more than just a simple association. I'd call Ayers, Barack’s backer and mentor as well as his friend. In addition to the socialist policies he will surely enact, what will Barack owe his terrorist friends once he gets in the whitehouse?

Barack's a socialist and friend to home grown terrorists, who is going to have to pay the piper come election day. If anything, Governor Palin has been cuttin' him some slack.

LOL. Well-played.

I am looking forward to seeing the author making guest appearances on MSNBC.

After she returns from Peggy Noonan’s tea and crumpets party which, I am told, will feature a breathy reading of selected passages from Peggy’s latest utopian opus, “Patriotic Grace.” In French.

Why bother to even contest an election if alledgedly conservative thinkers keep throwing penalty flags every time a Republican candidate notes that a Democrat candidate’s long-time allies are (channeling Parker and Noonan) not the sort a lady would associate herself with.

Sorry, Kathy and Peggy, but your brand of genteel, silkstocking, white-guilt Republicanism died with John Lindsay’s mayoral administration.

Palin is a threat that the Obamashirts would like to take out so this “face” thing is being stirred up by MSM people.

Clinton was confronted with this kind of media intimidation in the primaries and they will pour it on.

ACORN may be mobilized to create violence at Palin rallies.

The more I think about how Obama and his cohorts operate, the more I realize we could elect our own Hugo Chavez as president.

That won’t be funny when he shuts down talk radio, Fox News, Free Republic etc.

I'm a praying person and tonight when I said prayers with the kids at bed time we asked God to take this worry about our next president off our shoulders.

No matter what happens, for me it is in Gods hands.

I will vote for John McCain and Sarah Palin because, even though many can not see they are superior to Zerobama and binBiden, I can.

McCain is a smart cookie and did exactly as he should.

The Main Street Press was lying like a snake in the weeds for McCain to come out and attack Zerobama about his past and present acquaintances.

Had McCain attacked Zerobama all the headlines tomorrow would have said McCain go's negative while Zerobama stays positive.

McCain and Palin has Zerobama caught in the good guy bad gal vice and is causing him much harm as can be seen in the tightening of the polls.

I know that I may not be in the majority of opinions on here but McCain did exactly as he should have and for me seems as he snookered those left wing media.

What say you?

I agree; McCain did the right thing in tonight’s bizarre version of a “townhall” debate which really allowed Brokaw to totally control the proceedings

Talking about Ayers and others tonight would’ve been an error in judgment. There’s still time and other more appropriate places to discuss this so that the public “gets” it.
