You know who you are. You're the one posting stupid comments about what a loser Johnny is. You're the one getting on the political chat shows and telling everyone that you think Obama is super great and that he's going to win! Yeay! And your supposed to be a conservative. Why don't you shut up!
I'm talking to all the whiners who piled on and joined the Chris Matthews bandwagon and declared Johnny an old man and a big dull loser. He did fine last night. He was the boss on foreign policy. He's never been a dazzling public speaker but that didn't stop him from beating everyone else in the primaries.
John McCain won the debate last night. Oh, he didn't? It looked like Bob Dole and Bill Clinton? Really? WRONG. John McCain isn't Bob Dole and Barack Obama isn't Bill Clinton. According to Zogby, Obama is only polling 2 point ahead right now. That's a tie.
The entire Main Stream Media and all the liberal pundits are telling us every day that Obama is eating John's lunch and handing him his hat and showing him the door or whatever else... do we really need a bunch of "please love me I want to be your friend" conservative/republicans telling us the election is over? Nothing has been lost except my respect for you, clownie.
John Sidney McCain III has been a winner, is a winner, and will be a winner, G-d willing. What we should be doing now is giving him money, encouraging people to vote for him, and praying that the Master of the Universe gives this country good leaders.
They're trying to psych us out. WE NEED TO PSYCH THEM OUT! They have to bus out-of-state homeless people into Ohio to vote. They have to over poll democrats by 6 points and beat us over the head with their polls every day. They have to TELL us that Obama beat John in the debate and that Biden beat Sarah Palin (Ha) in the debate, and they can get away with it because most people didn't watch the debates and most people get their news from Jon Stewart and Jay Leno. But we know what's going on.

Amen! McCain isn’t my favorite guy, but he’s definitely the best option in this election. I think we should unite around him and not give lefties any “look, even the republicans don’t like him” fodder. Reading some of the posts on here lately has been completely demoralizing.
So yeah, we'll vote for McAmnesty... but don't piss down our backs and tell us it's raining...
McCain should have opened a can of verbal Whoop-A@@... But he didn’t. Not that I was impressed by Obama either. I’d like to see a debate in which they lock both candidates in a room for two hours with nothing but a camera and a microphone. That’s it. Let them decide the topics, let them fight for dominance, etc.

Honestly, I share your sentiments but Free Republic is a site dedicated to free speech and debate, not shutting out negative voices. Don’t fall into that liberal trap of wanting to shout down or muzzle others so we don’t have to deal with them.
What counts now is more information, more speech. Just look at the post from Salon.com gloating about their “inevitable” victory. What ammunition for us now! It’s still a month away. The polls are tight but what matters is who shows up to vote on November 4.

I'm surprised by all the down-in-the-mouth stuff I'm reading here on FR. John hit all the balls out of the park that we hoped he would. He mentioned Fannie Mae and put the blame squarely on the backs of Obama and democrats. Really hammered that thing home. When Obama tried to tell people McCain had voted against alternative energy, McCain hit back and said it was full of all kinds of pork so he didn't vote for it but "you'll never guess... that one did"
The only thing they could think of was to pick the words "that one" and try to make something racist about it. A baffling twist of logic, but thats why they get paid. Predictible and disgusting. Playing the race card always means a conservative has just scored a point.

He's a loser when it comes to economic policy. His proposal (last night on live TV) of $300 Billion to buy "bad" mortgages is pure pandering to uninformed members of the electorate. The charlie foxtrot that is our current financial situation has spread far beyond mortgages, and all that McCain did was turn up the risk and uncertainty, since, under his plan, lenders would write off the amounts of mortgage loans above new appraised values, which could trigger defaults and movements in the derivatives (bets on securities backed by the cash flow generated by those mortgages).
McCain has been in the Congress for over two decades. As far as I'm concerned, he is part of the problem and doesn't deserve to be rewarded with the presidency.

As the debate went on Obama became less and less coherent.
Wordy windy tangential disconnected responses that could not be followed.
This was true of the last question, where the only thing I could decipher was that Obama was - once again - focusing upon himself and declared it would take courage to vote for him.
McCain focused on the uncertainty the world is experiencing right now and concern for the country.
McCain will serve the country.
Obama will serve himself.

The only way feckless sycophant fools for Bob’ACLU’Barr and Chuck Balwin can hope to get a percent of the votes is to so degrade the Republicans and their candidate that a few voters will opt for an ‘other’ choice for president. They will spin their spittle and disappear untilt the next election cycle. Their methodology is exactly the same as Democrat party agitprops so it’s hard sometimes to separate the third-party floaters from the democrap sludge.
McCain is losing this campaign because he refuses to fight Obama and his lies, and dirty tactics such as ACORN voter fraud. He’s just been rolling over (or bending over, I should say) and accepting the abuse heaped upon him- and expecially Sarah Palin.
