Just look at the last election, for Pete's sake. It isn't that tough. And to the extent that there are suddenly "more Democrats," you don't remember Operation Chaos? Heck, my WIFE registered as a Dem just to screw things up. In OH, that was huge.

This country has been about a 35-35-30 country, give or take a couple of %, for 20 years, and there is no way in the course of one or two polling cycles it went to a 50-25 country.

And no, pollsters don't get it right. Sometimes they do (as in 2006), sometimes they don't (1994, where every one missed a tsunami). None of them picked up Obama's fade in the primaries.

I conceded a loss last night when McCain left the debate hall so quickly - not to mention that he and Cindy were about as cold as ice. That just doesn't sell.

Obama and Michelle - when together - exude warmth. I know I'm going to get blasted for saying that, but so be it. They had - what? - fifteen extra minutes of camera time smiling and chatting with the audience? Good grief! McCain is just too stupid, or maybe it was just past his bedtime. :(

Now, I can't help but notice that the four major polls released today by Rasmussen, Reuters, Hotline, and Battleground have Obama up by 6, 2, 1, and 4 respectively

Too bad the author doesn't take the Bradley Effect into consideration. When it all boils down, most people are going to vote for the old white guy with the experience. Period. If Obama isn't up over 10 points by election day, he's toast.

I have a freeper freind who was at Belmont and in the motorcade for McCAin. She says Cindy was a warm and natural and very nice lady. But that was a nice try to smear her ... but for whom do you do this garbage?

I don’t understand your numbers. Why should polsters use an even split of dems and republicans if more folks are identifying as dems these days?

Come on...together they are very cold towards one another. How many times has McCain leaned in to kiss or or hug her and she turns her head? Unfortunately, the kissy, huggy, affectionate Obamas come off as much more human when you see them together.

Everything I've read about Cindy McCain would indicate that she is a very nice and kind woman, but I stand by what I said about what they look like when they're together.

I have no idea who he is but it’s nice to read something that isn’t put out by a MSM approved journalist!

Go look at some video and try to be impartial, and you will know how damaging it was to give that extra fifteen minutes of air time to the Obamas. That was a horrible mistake.

I think its a crying shame that those of us who care enough to get
the facts to make an informed voting decision will have our votes cancelled out by a fraudulent ACORN vote.

“I conceded a loss last night when McCain left the debate hall so quickly - not to mention that he and Cindy were about as cold as ice. That just doesn't sell. “

You could not be more wrong. McCain stayed and shook hands with many in the audience, Cindy as well. The audience were very enthusiastic about shaking McCain's hand.

Obama worked the crowd but if you watch the end of the debate the enthusiasm was not there for Hussein like it was for the patriot McCain.

Useless piece of wimp garbage. Get the hell out of the way - you’re in our field of fire. Go marry a poodle, buy a white sheet and move to France, you bed-wetter.

Well, I was disgusted when I read the title, but you are right, it is true....except, I DO NOT believe that Obama deserves to win. No way, no how! I think the problem is, that America has turned it’s back on it’s own morals and values. We probably deserve Obama, the way a criminal deserves jail.

"More folks" aren't. That's an arbitrary number the pollsters pick out of their @ss. If anything, the number of independents should go up and the number of each traditional party go down---but that's not what has happened.

Even if they used the primary numbers, it would be dramatically flawed, because so many Republicans "crossed over" to vote for Hillary.

The people will have to lead on this one as it did on immigration and almost did on the bailout. Turnout will be the key and McCain will have won of he does because the alternative is horrible. We will then have to hold their feet to the fire. I have a feeling incumbents are in for a rude awakening regardless of party this election day. At least I hope that I am right.
