Dual citizenship is not a disqualification. HOWEVER, easy for the GOP to question his allegiance. Supposedly it expired in 1982. His Odinga campaigning though brings this into importance now. This is just fascinating. A lot like how the Lewinsky scandal first stared and grew into an impeachment.

As I recall, not even all U.S. citizens are eligible for President. Only natural born ones (with the a now irrelevant exception applying to colonists living in the U.S. when the Constitution was signed). For example, Californian Governator Arnold Schwarzenegger is not eligible even though he is a U.S. citizen.

I am not sure what restrictions are on a Senator's citizenship. But I doubt they are as strict.

It sure would be an interesting Constitutional conundrum if a candidate won the election and then it was proven that he was not legally eligible.

But even if Obama really wasn't born in the U.S., I doubt anyone is going to get enough evidence at this late date to convince a judge to touch this issue with a ten foot pole.

Here is what I found... (so yes he held Kenyan citizenship up until 1982 when Zero turned 21 years old)

The question would be: Did Kenya, at the time, have duel citizenship? His father was Kenyan, his mother American.

If duel, what were the rules?

For example, at the time Barry-boy was in Indonesia, if he had been adopted by Soetoro and given Indonesian citizenship, as his school registration says(name: Barry Soetoto, citizenship Indonesian, religion: Muslim)- you could not retain another citizenship. He may, however, when reaching legal age, have changed?

But back to Kenya. His father was a native Kenyan. Did they, at the time, allow duel citizenship?

All that said: I doubt it's legal for a SITTING U.S. Senator to involve himself in a foreign election.

I read that Odinga has a web site out of CHICAGO! Could not the FBI investigate the content for email access or another email address he may have had - as well as phone records, to ascertain continued contact after 'bambi came back from his 2006 trip to Kenya?

Anything done must be quick as, if he's elected, he is immune from prosecution until out of office. By then, the U.S. could also be under dictatorship - and nothing will be done.

I think we shouldn't get derailed over “citizen of Kenya” - his father was Kenyan - could have duel. People/press will dismiss as muckraking.

The KEY is the photo and story of him and the BULLHORN in Kenya during Odinga’s campaign. This was ONLY 2 years ago - not when he “was only 8 years old.”

Not to mention - it MUST be against the law for a SITTING Senator to campaign for a foreign head of state - and he went there on our tax dollars per the article:
