I think the focus on this needs to be not so much on the "clerical error" -- easily explained away -- but on the fact that he paid that much to a corrupt organization that is involved in voter fraud all across the country.

Somthing like this from McCain might be nice: "Americans all across the country are enraged right now by the blatant voter fraud apparently being carried out under their noses by this ACORN group that you are so cozy with. So why did you pay them $800,000? $800,000!!! Almost a million dollars to a corrupt organization now being investigated in dozens of states? What did you get for that money, Barack? The American people demand to know."

A Trib analysis of campaign finance reports showed Obama paid CSI for services that stood out as unusual. For example, CSI received payments of $63,000 and $75,000 for advance work. Excluding the large payments to CSI, the average amount the Obama campaign spent with other organizations was $558.82 per check on more than 1,200 entries classified as advance work.

I’m eagerly awaiting those huge, breathtakingly revealing editorials in the N.Y. Times and the WashPo decryng Obama’s connections with Franklin Raines, William Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, and ACORN. Patrick Oliphant and Lew Wasserman will have cartoons depicting Obama in a pit with the rest of those clowns and the slime up their rotten necks. Sure, that will happen real soon. (smirk)
