(IsraelNN.com) Saudi Arabia-funded textbooks distributed in American schools teach that Muslims discovered America and that Jesus was a Palestinian, according to repot by the Institute for Jewish and Community Research. Anti-Zionist propaganda is prominent in the books that were written at Middle East centers at universities, including Harvard, which received a $20 million donation from Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in 2005.
The textbooks, distributed in all 50 states in the U.S., also teach that the Almighty revealed the Koran to the Muslim prophet Mohammed and that Jewish civilization contributed "very little" to the arts and sciences.
ROTFLMAO! Now that’s some revisionist history. Of course, that stuff is pretty popular these days.
Funny.. I thought the Norseman discovered America before Columbus.. And why are we allowing a textbook to teach a religeous context in it?
Ping.
I thought that Jesus was Jewish. I mean, wasn’t he called “Rabbi,” and didn’t they call him King of The Jews? Didn’t he preach in the temple and did everything that good Jewish boys and girls are supposed to do?
(just being sarcastic there...)
You realize, of course, that Arabic is written backwards.
Isn’t it great what money can buy from Harvard?
I cannot stand Liberals, they make me vomit chunks.
Wow. Ya learn something new every day.
Allah Ak-Thor.
And all the evil Christians and Jews stole it from them right?Guns up!We will have to take our country back soon more than ever.
> The Vikings were Muslims?
Of course they were...they were big on be-headings.
Anyone else notice that right AFTER 9/11 Muslims started to get the pandering treatment formerly reserved for blacks only??????? I sure did.
Muslims couldn’t even discover oil under their own feet without the help of the western world. The Muslim religion has proven to be one of the most creative methods to permanently conquer the unwashed and keep them as unwitting slaves to their masters. What a f’n joke...
Just a suggestion that you use another picture of Gov. Palin. With all the arms in the crowd raised, and Gov. Palin with her arm raised, it looks like a Nazi salute. I am not saying that’s what it is, but our enemies might.
This is important to the Muslims. Their belief is that if they got here first then this land is “rightfully” theirs.
Its a kick.
My favorite line, "He tornin offen me armin!"
***Just a suggestion that you use another picture of Gov. Palin. With all the arms in the crowd raised, and Gov. Palin with her arm raised, it looks like a Nazi salute. I am not saying thats what it is, but our enemies might.****
Come on, Franco, the NAZI salute is of a straight arm with the palm oriented downward. Gov. Palin’s gesture is uplifting (and NOT a NAZI salute). And as for the crowd, many are extending their arms to get a better picture on the cell phone.
The picture is great, thanks Jeff H. It tells us everything that the MSM refuses to tell us about how real people view a conservative candidate who says what we believe. Let’s not worry about what they are going to say or misinterpret. They are just showing their foolishness. (And yes, NAZIs (real ones) shot, imprisoned or otherwise tried to eliminate my immediate male ancestors. I know what a real one is like.)
Let’s enjoy and appreciate a picture of what we can be proud of.
I have heard for years about these practices, particularly in the DC/Virginia area where children from Arab embassies go to special schools. In the past these stories included maps that did not show Israel, and books that repeated some of the more vile Hadiths.
But I have yet to see such a book, or a copy of one. It shouldn’t be that hard to get a hold of and get a copy put up on the web. THAT would be more powerful.
Cheers!
My ancestors too. I didn’t say it was a Nazi salute, I said our enemies might try to say that is what it looks like. OK, if you don’t agree, it was just a minor suggestion.
All I can say is, check out all of your children’s school books.
Her palms are upwards and the crowd is lifting signs and waving. Oh please... there is nothing there remotely resembling what you suggested... and the moonbats will badly photoshop anything they please. I like the image just fine.
There was a thread recently and I searched it out:
'Jesus was a Palestinian,' claims U.S. history text (World Net Daily October 03, 2008 Bob Unruh)
Here's the book site, text is online:
http://www.sfsocialstudies.com/g6/index.html
And here's a lesson on Palestine:
http://sf.factmonster.com/ce6/world/A0837349.html
Palestine (păl'ustīn) [key], historic region on the eastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, at various times comprising parts of modern Israel, the West Bank and Gaza, Jordan, and Egypt; also known as the Holy Land. The name is derived from a word meaning land of the Philistines. This article discusses mainly the geography and the history of Palestine until the United Nations took up the Palestine problem in 1947; for the economy and later history, see Israel, Jordan, and West Bank. In the Bible, Palestine is called Canaan before the invasion of Joshua; the usual Hebrew name is Eretz Israel [land of Israel]. Palestine is the Holy Land of Jews, having been promised to them by God; of Christians because it was the scene of Jesus' life; and of Muslims because they consider Islam to be the heir of Judaism and Christianity and because Jerusalem is the site, according to Muslim tradition, of Muhammad's ascent to heaven. The Holy Land derives its special character from being a place of pilgrimage. Shrines, shared in common by several religions, cluster most numerously in and about Jerusalem, Bethlehem, Nazareth, and Hebron.
And Israel:
http://sf.factmonster.com/ce6/world/A0825647.html
Israel (iz'rēul) [key], officially State of Israel, republic (2005 est. pop. 6,277,000, including Israelis in occupied Arab territories), 7,992 sq mi (20,700 sq km), SW Asia, on the Mediterranean Sea. (The area figure used above does not include the Golan Heights or the West Bank, which are occupied by Israel.) It is bordered by Lebanon in the north, Syria and Jordan in the east, the Mediterranean Sea on the west, Egypt on the southwest, and the Gulf of Aqaba (an arm of the Red Sea) on the south. The capital and largest city of Israel is Jerusalem. This article deals primarily with the events in Israel from 1948 to the present. For the earlier history of the region, see Palestine.
I'm not finding the passing about lack of contributions from Jewish culture but I saw it earlier. It's late.
Are textbooks published by specific 'textbook' publishers? Wonder if it would be possible to get ahold of one of these textbooks from a school that is using um and raise a HUGE STINK in the community of that school?
