Gov. Blunt Condemns ACORN’s Attempts to Commit Voter Fraud, Disappointed with Official’s Flippant Response

JEFFERSON CITY – Gov. Matt Blunt today condemned attempts by the liberal group ACORN to commit voter fraud by submitting fraudulent voter registrations. The governor also was disappointed with statements by a Missouri official who casually dismissed ACORN’s actions.

“Fraudulent registration is an assault on our election system and should not be tolerated, period. There can be only one reason why an organization like ACORN would consistently submit fraudulent registrations and that is to cheat the system by allowing people to cast fraudulent ballots.

“I am disappointed that at least one Missouri official so casually dismisses this unavoidable truth, trying without success to claim registration fraud and voter fraud are not one and the same. Registration fraud has only one purpose and that is voter fraud.”

Gov. Blunt also stated that all elections officials and prosecutors have a responsibility to respond immediately to any attempt to commit voter fraud.

“I am calling on all Missouri clerks, election directors and prosecutors to be alert and vigilant, responding immediately to any and all allegations of voter fraud,” Gov. Blunt said. “It is the responsibility of all political parties to carefully watch over our election process while recognizing that under no circumstance should anyone ever intimidate voters.”

As Missouri’s Secretary of State, Matt Blunt restored Missourians’ confidence in the integrity of their elections. He led efforts to reform elections including enabling the creation of Missouri’s first real time statewide voter registration database, ensuring that every eligible vote cast was properly counted including eligible provisional ballots and calling for and obtaining the enactment of voter identification requirements which protect against fraudulent votes being cast.

“Instead of offering excuses for those who attempt to manipulate the system, elected officials should be emphasizing that registration fraud is a crime that undermines our elections,” Gov. Blunt said. “Fraudulent ballots cancel out the ballots of those who are playing by the rules of democracy on election day and serious evidence of fraud should not be treated as a trivial matter.”

Yes, it's good ACORN is being exposed but no one has stopped the fraud that still continues or the hundreds of thousands of voter regs & ballots that have been cast.

To give you some idea how all-encompassing the group is, they have schools where the children of leftists are trained in class-consciousness; they run boot camps for training street activists; and, like Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow Coalition, they extort money from banks and other businesses by threatening racial violence and trumped-up civil rights charges. One can almost imagine Marx, Lenin and Stalin, shaking their heads in admiration and hoisting their glasses in toast.

Unfortunately, if Obama wins the election, the FEDS will be of no use. His Attorney General will terminate any investigation into voter fraud by ACORN and other leftist groups without a whimper from the press.

I actually wonder if the Bush Administration in its final days has the will or desire to pursue these cases with any vigor. Plus if John, creature of the Senate Club, McCain pulls out a miracle and wins, he is unlikely to pursue voter fraud cases with any vigor. After all, he prides himself in being the great compromiser.

If Democrat voter fraud were eliminated from the system, they would never again be elected to President and they would permanently loose the House and Senate.
In 2000, 7% of the votes were fraudulent Democrat votes.
In 2004, 10% of the votes were fraudulent Democrat votes.
In 2008, Obama will seek to set a new record.
With the amount of voter fraud they turned out, they still can't understand how they lost. They claim the country is 50-50 when it really is 60-40 Republican and Republican leaning.
If we just cull the dead, illegal and nonexistent off the voter rolls, we would win back the House and retain the Presidency.

Just saw a Fox News interview with Shelby Holliday, a Palestra (college news network) reporter. She was the one who interviewed the ACORN workers in Ohio who admitted they were registering only Obama voters. She’s been trying to get an interview with anyone from ACORN for two weeks, and was recently asked to stop investigating them by the Ohio Sec of State’s office!

Evryone should go to the Palestra site and read her reports.
