too bad, I wish 990 (WIP? ) had the 50,000 watt transmitter, I can’t get it.

WNTP 990 used to be WIBG (Wibbage), and is 50KW day, and 10KW night.

CC Crane sells what they call a AM antenna, which are really more like passive magnifying lenses for AM band radio signals. See:

I also own one of their Sonido radios with has great reception even without the Select-A Tenna. I use a Panasonic Shockwave CD-player-radio not for CD's but because the AM antenna loop in it gives it the best reception of any portable I have tried.
