It doesn’t make sense. It is believed there are 12 million illegals in the US. If true, about 41% of these illegals purchased homes. That includes the illegal children. Could it be that there are a lot more here than previously believed? You would almost have to conclude that they can get home mortgages easier than your average US citizen.
I've always believed it was more than the 12 million commonly cited. The 5 million mortgages number is probably too low also.
I bet there are probably over 10 million illegals with mortgages and the number of actual illegals is over 50 million.
