MILWAUKEE - The hate mail started pouring in almost immediately after Newsradio 620 WTMJ radio host James T. Harris addressed Senator John McCain Thursday at a Republican rally in Waukesha.

"You know this is sort of a sampling of the emails that I've been receiving," Harris said," Hey Sambo, maybe Master McCain will let you shine his shoes since you did such a good job licking his boots."

During Thursday's rally, Harris urged Senator McCain to step up his attacks on Barack Obama's character. Harris said in the next presidential debate, "It's absolutely vital that you take it to Obama, that you hit him"where it hurts," because "we have all of these shady characters that have surrounded him."

Harris added, "I am begging you sir, I am begging you. Take it to him."

The national media pounced.

"I knew something was up when The New York Times and The Washington Post started asking me questions and then CNN and then Fox. I was like, 'Oh Lord!'"

Harris' comment to McCain made heavy rotation on national talk shows. And Harris says he's heard from African Americans from across the country now accusing him of being a sellout.

"Most of the stuff that I got in the email was like, 'How can a black man stand up and say that?' Well you know what? I happen to be an American of African descent, but I am a conservative."

And he says he has no regrets.

"I realize that I'm speaking for millions of people. It just so happens that in this racially charged election, the people who look like me happen to be on the other side of the aisle."

Harris' radio show, "The National Conversation" airs weekend afternoons on Newsradio 620 WTMJ.

Harris has another busy day in the spotlight Saturday, with appearances on several national talk shows.

My mom, who has never used a computer and said she never would get on the internet, called me yesterday and asked if I would show her how to email because she wants to write “that radio guy who stood up at the McCain rally”. She asked if I knew who he was and I said I’d have to search around. He really moved her and spoke for her. She, too, is very angry, especially at McCain for not fighting for us.

Thanks for the email address. I’m going over to her house today.

I’ve tried getting her online for a couple of years because she always calls me and asks if I can email Bill O’Reilly, Dr. Phil, etc for her. And here Mr. Harris inspired her to learn for herself. I’m sure this won’t be her only email, LOL!

Hmmm, maybe it was the ACORN thugs, or the Union goons, or the poverty pimps henchmen, or Farrakans “guards”... so many thuggy liberal groups to pick from... so little time.

We saw Mr. JT Harris on FoxNews this morning

I laughed at his big smile.

I replayed the tevo to catch his name and the close captioning listed his name as James Teeters!
